You’ve probably noticed a lot of people talking about Animal Crossing: New Horizons again! A big update (version 3.0) came out earlier this week, and players are returning to the game. While not the biggest update ever, it introduces features like customizable dream islands and a new hotel, along with a huge number of new items. Some items are only available with amiibo cards, but there’s still plenty of new content for everyone to enjoy.

It added a lot of new items for both your main island and the Slumber Islands. 10) LEGO Plum Blossom
If you love LEGO, you’ll definitely want to check out this whole collection! Even if you’re not planning a complete LEGO makeover, the LEGO Plum Blossom is a nice touch as a decorative item. You can find it at Nook Shopping starting with the version 3.0 update – and the best part is, you don’t need to unlock the hotel or finish any quests to buy it. Just head to the Nook Terminal in Resident Services and spend a few thousand Bells.
9) Game Boy
The recent 3.0 update for New Horizons added some fun Nintendo-themed items, including a Game Boy! You can purchase it from the Resort Shop using Hotel Tickets you get from Kapp’n’s boat tours. It’s a charming decoration for your island home, especially for those of us who fondly remember playing the original Game Boy. And the best part? You can actually play Dr. Mario on it, right within Animal Crossing! Plus, you can customize its color by visiting Cyrus on Harv’s Island to choose from a variety of classic Game Boy shades.
8) LEGO Arcade Game
The LEGO Arcade Game isn’t playable like some other items, but it’s still a cool decoration for your home or villagers’ homes. If you’re building a LEGO-themed space, it’s a great addition from Nook Shopping when it’s available – just be prepared to spend a few thousand bells.
7) Kiddie Car
If you grew up playing with toy cars, seeing one in Animal Crossing: New Horizons might bring back a lot of memories! It’s a fun item to add to your island if you can get it. You can find it at the Resort Hotel souvenir shop, but you’ll need to collect Hotel Tickets to purchase it.
6) LEGO Bed
Since you can bring your own bed with you to the Slumber Islands, why not choose a playful design? The LEGO bed is a charming nod to the classic building blocks, and you can even pick the color! This new LEGO item is available now from Nook Shopping for a few thousand bells.
5) LEGO Fireplace
The LEGO fireplace is another fantastic addition from the LEGO and Animal Crossing collaboration! This charming brick-built piece comes in several colors, letting fans create a fun, LEGO-inspired look for their homes. While it’s one of the cutest items in the collection, it doesn’t offer the same gameplay as the LEGO Arcade machine. You can purchase it with Bells from Nook Shopping.
4) Marble Kitchen Island
Okay, this update is packed with gorgeous marble stuff, and I’m already planning to collect it all! But seriously, the marble kitchen island is the absolute standout piece. If you’re going to splurge on just one fancy item for your Animal Crossing house, make it this one. You can snag it at the Resort Hotel souvenir shop using those Hotel Tickets.
3) Wall-Mounted Bookshelf
I’m not exactly an interior designer, so my Animal Crossing: New Horizons house is usually a little chaotic! But as someone who loves books and has bookshelves all over my real home, I really need that cute wall-mounted bookshelf in the game right away. It’s a small, charming item that adds a cozy, bookish touch to your island. You can get it at the Resort Hotel shop using Hotel Tickets.
2) Mug Shelves
The new mug shelf in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a charming addition that creates a really cozy atmosphere. It’s a multi-level shelf perfect for displaying your favorite colorful items – and it looks a lot like something you might find in a real kitchen! You can purchase it with Hotel Tickets from the Hotel Resort shop and even customize its color.
1) Cat Plushie
It’s no surprise that the new cat plush is the most popular item in this collection. Animal Crossing fans are absolutely loving it, and it’s easy to see why – it’s incredibly cute and you can even change its appearance to look like your own cat! You can buy it with Hotel Tickets at the Resort, and if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to decorate!
