I’m so thrilled to see [Show Name] finally getting the attention it deserves! It’s been ten years since it first came out, and now it’s blown onto Netflix and is already a huge hit. As of today, it’s jumped right up to number two on the most-watched list – even pushing another good show, Run Away, down a spot. It’s fantastic to see so many people discovering this amazing Stephen King series!
Okay, so I recently finished watching 11.22.63 on Hulu, and it’s a really compelling series. James Franco plays Jake Epping, a teacher who gets pulled into this crazy situation – his friend shows him how to travel back in time. The friend tried for years to prevent the JFK assassination, but couldn’t, so he passes the mission onto Jake. Basically, Jake has to go back to 1963 and try to stop Lee Harvey Oswald. But what’s fascinating is that the past doesn’t want to be changed. Every time Jake tries to alter things, it pushes back, and he starts to realize messing with history could ruin the life he’s building in the past. It’s a really gripping story and explores how difficult – and dangerous – changing history truly is.
It’s a Tried And True Plot Device With A Twist
The limited series received positive reviews from both critics and viewers, achieving an 83% score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer and an 88% audience score on the Popcornmeter. Michael Slezak of TV Line called it a “can’t-miss TV event,” praising its captivating and original story and strong performances from the lead actors. Nick Schager of The Daily Beast highlighted the series’ ability to vividly and effectively tell a period story over eight hours, blending imaginative possibilities, thrilling suspense, and genuine emotional resonance.
Viewers overwhelmingly agree with the positive reviews of 11.22.63. One fan called it the best miniseries they’d ever seen, praising it as the definitive Stephen King adaptation – a captivating story that’s hard to stop watching. They also recommended reading the book, calling it even better, but emphasized the miniseries stands strongly on its own. Another viewer highlighted the beautiful writing, direction, and cinematography, along with excellent performances from the entire cast. They described it as gripping, entertaining, thought-provoking, and completely unputdownable – a highly recommended experience.
Overall, it seems like fans really enjoyed 11.22.63, making it one of those rare limited series that people can’t get enough of.
