
A new sequel to a Steven Spielberg film is confirmed. While Spielberg’s movies often get follow-ups, he doesn’t usually direct them himself. Franchises like Jaws, Jurassic Park, and Indiana Jones have all continued with other directors, and that will be the case again with a lesser-known adventure film. This time, however, the plan was always to have someone else take over – it just took a while to come together.
A new The Adventures of Tintin movie is finally in the works after 15 years! The first film, directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson, was a success when it came out in 2011, and fans have been hoping for a sequel ever since. Peter Jackson recently announced at the Cannes Film Festival (according to Variety) that he’s now writing the script and intends to direct the follow-up.
