The PlayStation 5 remake of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is an excellent game worth playing, regardless if you’re a returning fan or newcomer. However, we suggest going for the standard version instead of splurging on the expensive $200 collector’s edition.
Due to the complete distribution over the last 24 hours, the costly physical edition is now arriving at the eager buyers’ homes, and the primary feature, the terrarium diorama, is falling short in terms of quality.
The scene is designed to portray Snake recovering his backpack following a HALO jump at the game’s beginning. In this portrayal, Snake is under a tree with his bag suspended above. However, it seems fans have removed the Snake figure from the display for a detailed examination, and unfortunately, the figure doesn’t resemble Snake as we know him. It appears as if someone ordered a Snake figure online instead of the actual character from Temu.
Take a look at the Snake figure below:
Here’s a closer look at the figurine’s face, which hardly resembles Snake at all:
As a gamer, I received an exciting package that contained a game in a sturdy metal case, two cool clothing patches, and even a Snake ID card lanyard! However, when I found out everything was enclosed within a “Collector’s Box,” and the total price tag was $200, it seemed a bit steep for the quality of the terrarium diorama included.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but urge you to opt for the $70 version of this game. You’ll be experiencing the best possible iteration of an unquestionable classic. In my 9/10 rated review of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on PS5, I concluded that this is one of the most authentic remakes ever made. It’s breathed new life into a stealth classic, making it feel fresh and contemporary once more. The subtle yet significant gameplay updates have improved interaction and overall feel, while the visual overhaul places it among the graphical titans on the PS5.
