A game that originally launched only on Xbox and PC in 2022 has quietly become available on PlayStation 5 after three years. Console exclusives are games designed to be played on a single platform, like Xbox in this case. While not a major first-party Xbox title, players on both PS5 and PS4 can now enjoy it after a long wait.
In 2022, Studio Doodal and Flux Games first released *Lapin* on PC and Xbox consoles through early access, with a full release following a year later. The game has received positive feedback, particularly on Steam, where 92% of users recommend it. While Xbox players generally enjoyed the game, giving it a 3 out of 5 star rating on the Microsoft Store, PlayStation players seem to love it even more, awarding it a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. *Lapin* is currently priced at $14.99 on the PlayStation Store.
About the Game
If you haven’t heard of *Lapin* yet, it’s a 2D platformer for the PS5 where you play as bunnies searching for a new home. Their old home, located under a park, was destroyed during renovations. The game focuses on skillful and precise platforming, similar to the popular indie game *Celeste*.
I usually don’t go for platformers, but this one is seriously beautiful and cute! I saw a review that said even if you’re not a fan of the genre, the easy mode makes it really accessible. Another player just said it’s a truly excellent precision platformer and they absolutely loved it, which is awesome to hear!
If you’re planning to play *Lapin*, you should set aside around seven to eight hours to finish it. It’s worth noting that players with a PS5 Pro won’t experience any special enhancements in this game, which is becoming increasingly common for PS5 titles.
If you’re not excited about the new PS5 game, don’t worry – there are lots of other options this month! This week has already seen the release of *Battlefield 6*, *Ghost of Yotei*, and *Digimon Story: Time Stranger*. We were expecting those three, but *Lapin* was a surprise launch.
