2025’s Wildest Movie Finally Arrives on Netflix & It’s an Instant Hit You Really Need to See

A highly anticipated action film from 2025 is now available on Netflix and is quickly becoming a favorite. Netflix is a great place to discover new movies, or ones you might have missed in cinemas – especially films that didn’t get a wide release. The platform allows everyone to enjoy the latest releases and rediscover classic films, as content regularly rotates between different streaming services.

The action film Sisu: Road to Revenge, a sequel to the 2022 hit Sisu, is now streaming on Netflix and quickly gaining popularity, just as it did on HBO Max. It reached the number three spot on Netflix’s most-watched list on its first day, according to FlixPatrol, after becoming available on March 22nd.

Sisu: Road to Revenge Remains 2025’s Best Action War Movie

As a huge fan of action films, I was really excited for Sisu: Road to Revenge. The movie brings back Aatami Korpi, the tough Finnish prospector we met in the first film, who’s now just trying to get back to his family home after fighting Nazis during WWII. Sadly, things don’t go as planned. The man responsible for his family’s murder, a ruthless Soviet officer named Yeagor Draganov, reappears, and Aatami finds himself on the run. What follows is a non-stop thrill ride packed with explosions, intense gunfights, and seriously brutal action – it’s a fantastic chase movie!

The action film Sisu: Road to Revenge has been a hit with both critics and audiences. It currently boasts a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics, and an 87% audience score. Reviewers have highlighted the film’s intense action and inventive fight scenes, with some drawing comparisons to popular movies like Mad Max: Fury Road and John Wick: Chapter 4. Since its release on HBO Max, Sisu quickly climbed to the number two spot, and it’s currently third on Netflix, with potential to reach number one as more people discover it.

The film Sisu: Road to Revenge won Best International Film at the Saturn Awards, and it’s gaining a lot of positive attention. It’s remarkable that two action movies from the same director are being so well-received by critics. While director Jalmari Helander isn’t actively planning any sequels, he hasn’t ruled them out entirely if the price is right. However, Sisu: Road to Revenge feels like a satisfying ending to the story, and it’s a must-see modern action film for all Netflix viewers – many are calling it a masterpiece.
