I’ve been hearing a lot about fans missing Solo Leveling since its second season ended, and it looks like there’s a new anime coming this July that might just fill that void. While we’re still a year or more away from potentially seeing a third season of Solo Leveling, Tomb Raider King seems to offer a similar kind of action and adventure, so it could be a great substitute in the meantime.
The popular webcomic Tomb Raider King by SANG is getting an anime adaptation! The series, fully produced in Korea, will premiere in July as part of the Summer 2026 anime lineup. It tells the story of a man seeking revenge who travels the world collecting powerful artifacts from ancient tombs. You can find a sneak peek at the anime below.
Tomb Raider King Shares New Trailer for July 2026 Premiere
The new anime series, Tomb Raider King, is set to premiere in Japan on July 8th as part of the Summer 2026 season. Fans can watch it exclusively on Crunchyroll when episodes become available. Seung Wook Woo will direct and write the series for STUDIO EEK, with Hyun-Jung Lee leading animation direction and character design. Hyung Jun Heo also joins as a chief animation director, while Ju Young Kim is composing the music. Kadokawa will handle the Japanese dubbing.
The latest trailer for Tomb Raider King also revealed its ending theme song, “To Be Continued,” sung by QWER. QWER is also performing the opening theme, “Showdown.” The anime’s voice actors include Yoshimasa Hosoya (Ryoga Goriki), Saori Hayami (Irene Holton), Junichi Suwabe (Taisei Ogawara), Miyu Irino (Kotaro Yanagi), Nobuhiko Okamoto (Noboru Kureha), and Yuko Kaida, who joins the cast as Keira Clark. We’ll be able to see the anime in action very soon!
Why Tomb Raider King Comes for Solo Leveling’s Crown

Ever since its first trailer, Tomb Raider King has drawn comparisons to Solo Leveling. The story centers around an exceptionally skilled individual in a world suddenly filled with mysterious dungeons, where exploring them has become a profession. However, unlike Solo Leveling, this series follows a protagonist who isn’t weak to begin with – instead, he’s been betrayed and unexpectedly sent back in time fifteen years.
Ryoga uses his foresight and knowledge of valuable items to build a powerful and comfortable life for himself in a transformed future. It remains to be seen whether this story will achieve the same level of popularity as Solo Leveling, or if that series’ success was a unique, one-time event.
