Early reviews are in for 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, the newest film in the 28 Days Later horror series. This fourth installment, a direct sequel to 2024’s 28 Years Later, hits theaters on January 16, 2026. Alex Garland, who wrote both 28 Days and 28 Years, wrote the screenplay, and Nia DaCosta (known for Candyman) directed the movie.

This includes the return of Dr. Kelson (played by Ralph Fiennes), the dangerous Alpha Infected Samson (Chi Lewis-Parry), cult leader Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell), and both Spike (Alfie Williams) and his father, Jamie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson).
