Netflix has some great movies available this weekend, and there’s a new one you shouldn’t miss! Last week, I recommended three very different films: Jurassic World, The Captive, and Titanic. They’re perfect for a satisfying movie marathon.
This weekend, the best way to find something you’ll enjoy is to explore a variety of movies. Netflix has a great new original film, the newest installment in a classic horror series, and an inventive action movie starring a familiar TV actor. Here are some recommendations on Netflix.
3. Saw X (2023)
The horror series Saw continues with Saw X, the newest film to deliver thrills and scares. Tobin Bell returns as John Kramer, the iconic figure behind the Jigsaw persona and the terrifying games that define the franchise.
In Saw X, John Kramer travels to Mexico hoping to find a treatment for his cancer. When he discovers the treatment is a fraud, he sets out to get revenge on those who deceived him. Like other Saw films, it’s filled with intense violence, but this installment offers a more developed story beyond just the gore. Currently, Saw X has an 88% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
2. Nobody 2 (2025)
Next, we have Nobody 2. Action movie fans often enjoy stories about a single person taking on impossible odds. The Nobody films explore this idea with Bob Odenkirk as Hutch Mansel, a seemingly ordinary family man who used to be a highly skilled assassin. Nobody 2 builds on the first film’s humor by setting the action during a family vacation.
Timo Tjahjanto, the director of Nobody 2, is also working on two big action films: a sequel to The Beekeeper starring Jason Statham, and a movie based on the Sleeping Dogs video game. If you enjoy the fast-paced, brutal action of the John Wick movies, Nobody 2 delivers similarly exciting and inventive fight scenes.
1. Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (2026)
This weekend, don’t miss the one and only Netflix Original on our list: Peaky Blinders. The series has been hugely popular, and now, after six seasons, the story continues with Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, which premiered worldwide on Netflix this Friday, March 20th.
Cillian Murphy returns as the unforgettable Thomas Shelby in Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. This new story, set during World War II in 1940, delivers a thrilling and intense experience for both longtime fans and newcomers. Expect plenty of action, unexpected twists, and a powerful conclusion to Tommy’s journey. Netflix is calling it the show to watch this weekend.
