Three Xbox games are likely to be released on PlayStation 5 and the upcoming PS5 Pro in November. Microsoft has been making more of its games available on PS5 as part of a broader plan to reach players on multiple platforms, so this isn’t unexpected. However, it’s unusual to see three games launching in a single month. While not all of these games are developed by Xbox Game Studios, they are all currently exclusive to Xbox consoles – though Microsoft now also releases its games on PC when they launch.
Here’s a look at three Xbox games expected to arrive on PS5 in the next two months. We have confirmed release dates for two of them, and reliable industry sources suggest a third is also on the way, though it hasn’t been officially announced yet.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl
Developed by CSG Game World, *Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl* is the latest installment in the first-person shooter series. It’s the first new game in the series since 2009, and originally launched in November 2024 for Xbox Series X and PC. Now, it will also be available on PlayStation 5 starting November 25th.
This first-person shooter blends survival and horror, and while it currently has a Metacritic score of 73, many feel it deserves more. The sequel faced initial problems with performance and missing features, but several updates have significantly improved the experience. Players on PS5 are having a much smoother launch than those on Xbox. The game will be available for $59.99 and will take full advantage of the PS5 Pro’s enhanced capabilities.
Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition
Released in 2021, *Age of Empires IV* is the latest game in the popular strategy series, developed by Relic Entertainment, World’s Edge, and Xbox Game Studios. It marked a new beginning for the franchise as the first installment not created by the original developer, Ensemble Studios. Critics generally praised the game, giving it a score of 81 on Metacritic.
The game will launch on PS5 as the Anniversary Edition on November 4th. This version includes improvements to the original game and content added after its initial release. It’s available on the PlayStation Store for $39.99, and currently, there are no plans for special enhancements on the PS5 Pro.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
Okay, so I’m a huge fan of Microsoft Flight Simulator, and I’m getting really excited because a trustworthy source, Nate the Hate, is saying that the 2024 version might actually come to PS5 in November! It’s not official yet, but he’s usually spot-on with this kind of news.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, created by Asobo Studio and published by Xbox Game Studios, follows the popular 2020 release, Microsoft Flight Simulator. However, the new game hasn’t received the same positive response. While it has a respectable score of 77 on Metacritic, reviews on the Microsoft Store (2/5 stars) and Steam (“Mixed” reviews) show that many players are disappointed. Unlike Stalker 2, which has seen significant improvements since its release, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 hasn’t been updated much, particularly on consoles.
