Spider-Man is known for having a huge number of memorable villains, which has been great for his movies. We’ve already seen many of his iconic enemies – like Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, and Sandman – come to life on screen. But there are still plenty of Spidey’s foes who haven’t had their moment in the spotlight. The upcoming film, *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*, is focusing on a more personal, street-level story, giving it the chance to introduce some of these lesser-known villains. Recent casting news confirms the movie is doing just that, and will be utilizing a wider range of characters from Spider-Man’s history.
As reported by *Deadline*, Marvin Jones III, known for his role as Tobias Whale in *Black Lightning*, will play the villain Lonnie Lincoln, also known as Tombstone, in the upcoming *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*. First appearing in Marvel Comics in 1988, Tombstone hasn’t been featured in a live-action movie until now. While he appeared in the animated film *Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse* (2018) and the *Spider-Man* video game series on PlayStation, this marks his live-action debut.
