Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) finally gets some answers in Emmerdale next week.
As viewers may remember, Robert Sugden previously framed Victoria by planting passports belonging to trafficked workers in her home, resulting in her wrongful imprisonment on charges of murder and human trafficking. He did this because Joe Tate was blackmailing Victoria, threatening to expose her involvement in a deal concerning her share of Butler’s Farm, which belonged to Moira. With the truth now revealed, Victoria is determined to get revenge.
Paddy Dingle is worried about going to prison, and Dr. Todd adds to Jacob Sugden’s troubles while also looking for a new relationship. Here’s a look at what’s happening in Emmerdale from April 27th to May 1st.
4 Emmerdale spoilers for next week
1. Robert Sugden comes clean, as Moira Dingle seeks revenge on Joe Tate

Cain is getting more and more upset that Moira is spending so much time at the farm instead of with him, and it’s driving them apart. Even though Robert begs her to stop, Moira is determined to help, which only makes him feel worse about everything he’s done.
Realizing something was terribly wrong, she pressed him for the truth. Robert eventually admitted he was the one who planted the fake IDs of the enslaved workers, which resulted in her being imprisoned.
He revealed that Joe had been blackmailing him with a video showing Victoria accidentally killing John, and she was completely heartbroken to learn this. She then gave him a tough choice: either he goes to the police, or she will.

I couldn’t believe it when I found out Robert had confessed! I immediately ran to find Moira, desperately trying to convince her not to say anything.
Moira wants to shield Cain from bad news before his surgery, so she decides to keep it from him. Meanwhile, Aaron points out that Robert isn’t solely responsible for the situation, which sends Moira into a rage. She grabs a shotgun and immediately goes to Home Farm to confront Joe!
Graham attempts to stop her, but she remains firm, furious with Joe for how he’s treated Robert and the farm. Meanwhile, at the pub, Aaron encourages Cain to reconcile with Moira before his operation.

The following day’s episode centered on the troubled relationship between Cain and Moira. Cain visited Zak’s grave, finding it hard to express his worries. Seeing Cain upset, Liam went to check on him and offer help.
Behind the counter at The Woolpack, Moira tearfully tells Chas that her marriage to Cain is falling apart. Shortly after, Cain shocks Liam by revealing he’s decided to call off his cancer operation.
Pollard later approaches Cain at Zak’s grave, he opens up about his own fears for the future.

Will he be able to make a breakthrough?
The next day, Moira saw Dawn walking and couldn’t help but question her about Joe, deeply upsetting her. Moira explained that Joe was the only one to blame for her being locked up, and Dawn begged her to share all the details she had.

2. Jacob Sugden puts Ross Barton into an awkward position

Sarah and Jacob are feeling anxious about becoming Leyla’s parents as they prepare to welcome her to their village.
The following day, the couple was happily spending time with their child when Ross and Mack arrived with a present from Moses. Ross seemed uncomfortable and hesitant to hold the baby, but Jacob still invited both him and Moses to join their family get-together later that day.
Is the secret about to be exposed?
3. Paddy Dingle worries about life on the inside

Eve is deeply hurt by rumors circulating in the village about Paddy’s arrest. He tries to comfort her by explaining he might go to prison because he helped her grandfather, Bear. She’s devastated by the news.
Seeing how upset Paddy was, Mandy quickly suggested Bear should take the fall for everything. Paddy was horrified by this idea and immediately left their home. Mandy later found him, they made up, and even though they were both scared about the upcoming trial, she promised to support him no matter what.
Later on, I heard things were really tough at the prison. Paddy was trying to calm Bear down, who was completely freaking out about the bank account the police found. Honestly, it was a huge shock for both of them when Simo showed up – another one of the guys being forced to work, who Bear thought was dead! It was a crazy moment.

Paddy wants to convince him to support Bear’s case, but he won’t agree. Simo acknowledges that Bear doesn’t deserve jail time, but he’s worried about the impact it could have on his own mental wellbeing.
Paddy felt deeply worried as he looked over the village, unsure of what was to come. Standing in the doorway of The Woolpack, feeling isolated and stressed, he wondered if this might be the last night he spent in his home.
4. Dr Caitlin Todd flirts with Vanessa Woodfield

Jacob feels increasingly uncomfortable with Dr. Todd being around so much, but she seems to be thoroughly enjoying his discomfort.
Vanessa, Todd, and Manpreet are enjoying drinks at the pub when Mary proposes a doubles darts game, pairing Vanessa and Todd as partners. Throughout the game, Vanessa doesn’t notice Todd trying to flirt with her.
Todd quickly takes advantage of the situation to spread lies about Jacob, and the following day, keeps working to turn the villagers against him.
