The Nintendo GameCube is still fondly remembered for its incredible games. Now that some of those classics are coming to the Switch 2 through Nintendo Switch Online, they’re getting a chance to be enjoyed by a new audience. While titles like Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness and The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker are exciting additions, there are many other GameCube gems fans would love to see return. Hopefully, these games will be re-released on Nintendo Switch Online or even completely remade for the Switch 2, giving them a chance to shine again.
Nintendo’s collection of classic GameCube games available through its online service is closely linked to the upcoming Switch 2 console. Nintendo has already announced several new games that will only be playable on the Switch 2, including Pokémon spin-offs, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, and popular Mario titles. However, there are still four lesser-known GameCube games that fans would love to see added to the Switch 2, and they have the potential to be very popular.
4. Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem

Nintendo isn’t typically associated with scary games, but back in the GameCube era, Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem really stood out to horror fans. Though it didn’t sell a lot of copies, players who experienced it often call it one of the greatest horror games of all time. A sequel was once planned, but ultimately never made.
Nintendo seems to be aiming to attract players who enjoy a wider variety of games with the Switch 2, and including the popular horror game Eternal Darkness would be a huge success. With its compelling story and unique Sanity Effect, this classic deserves to be re-released on the Switch 2, letting a new generation experience its chilling gameplay.
3. Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg

While Mario is Nintendo’s king of 3D platforming, many gamers fondly remember Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg. This Sega game stars Billy, an ordinary kid who gains extraordinary powers when he finds a magical egg, letting him overcome challenges in his platforming journey.
While this GameCube game didn’t achieve huge sales or receive universally positive reviews, it holds a special place in many gamers’ hearts. It’s a good 3D platformer despite some minor flaws with the camera and how things move. With fans eagerly awaiting the next Mario game, bringing this underrated gem to the Switch 2 would be a welcome surprise.
2. Geist

There aren’t enough video games featuring ghosts! While vampires and zombies are popular, ghosts offer unique gameplay possibilities. Back in 2005, Geist delivered a spooky adventure for GameCube players. It was only the second M-rated game on the console, after Eternal Darkness, and it’s still remembered fondly by many gamers.
Geist is an unusual action game where you play as a ghost trying to get back into its body. A key part of the gameplay is the ability to possess others. It also features a multiplayer mode that would likely be fantastic with the new voice chat feature coming to the next Switch console.
1. Star Fox Adventures

Star Fox Adventures is a bit different from other games in the Star Fox series, and that’s caused some long-time fans to dislike it. While the game sold reasonably well, many players were disappointed by the change in gameplay. However, it might not deserve the negative reputation it’s received.
While this GameCube game doesn’t quite capture the feel of the original Star Fox, it’s surprisingly enjoyable. The combat is exciting, and the graphics were good for their time. The voice acting can be over-the-top, and fans are still hoping for a proper new Star Fox game. However, many who remember this game fondly would love to play it again on the Switch 2.
