4 Most Anticipated Upcoming Anime From Demon Slayer Studio

Ufotable, an animation studio founded in 2000, has created a number of distinctive anime series and movies. While they were already respected in the industry before adapting Demon Slayer, they weren’t as widely known as established studios like Toei Animation, or newer successes like MAPPA (known for Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan). Demon Slayer brought Ufotable mainstream attention, but they’d previously built a strong reputation with series like Fate/Zero and The Garden of Sinners.

Ufotable has become increasingly popular, and they’re now the studio behind the biggest anime movie ever – Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle. They don’t produce a lot of anime each year, but everything they make is famous for its stunning animation. Currently, they’re working on four different anime series, and fans are really excited about all of them.

4) Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu

I’m really excited about the Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu Movie! It’s based on that awesome game, Touken Ranbu, you might already know – it’s free to play and all about collecting cool characters. They dropped a second trailer back in 2022, but honestly, we haven’t heard much since then. Still, with things moving forward on other projects, I’m hoping we’ll get some news about the movie soon!

3) Witch on the Holy Night

This year, an anime film based on Kinoko Nasu’s popular light novel will be released. Although the specific release date is still unknown, it’s expected to premiere in Japan several weeks or months before coming to U.S. theaters. The story takes place in the late 1980s and centers around a rumored witch who lives in an old mansion in Misaki Town. When Aoko’s grandfather chooses her as the next in line to inherit the family’s legacy, her life changes forever as she begins training to become a witch.

2) Genshin Impact

An anime series based on the popular video game Genshin Impact was first announced in 2022. After a long wait, Ufotable released a first look at the series in February 2026. While a release date hasn’t been confirmed, we anticipate more information will be revealed either this year or in 2027. Given Genshin Impact’s massive global popularity, excitement for the anime is incredibly high following the initial preview.

1) Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2

Following the huge popularity of the first Demon Slayer movie, two more films are planned before the story adapts the Sunrise Countdown Arc. The battle against the powerful Upper Moons will continue in the next installment, which will end with a dramatic cliffhanger. Despite the first film’s release several months ago, the studio hasn’t yet announced any details about the sequel.
