Frank Castle then attacks the remaining dealers, but Daredevil tries to protect them from the Punisher’s wrath. During the fight, a sniper shoots and kills Flapper. Daredevil goes to investigate and finds Billy holding a gun, though Billy claims he didn’t do anything wrong. Matt decides to represent Billy in court, but he’s worried about the Punisher and asks his friend, journalist Ben Urich, for information about the vigilante.

In this issue, Daredevil and the Punisher clash one final time. While revisiting a crime scene, Matt witnesses the Punisher violently questioning a drug user. He intervenes, stopping Castle’s harsh interrogation, and the two heroes debate their differing methods for fighting crime. Surprisingly, the Punisher proposes a partnership to wipe out crime in New York, but Daredevil firmly rejects the offer. The Punisher then shoots Daredevil with a tranquilizer dart and leaves the drug user for dead. Fortunately, Daredevil is able to revive the man with CPR.
