However, after exploring a mysterious dungeon, he gains access to a unique System that allows him to consistently improve his abilities – something no other Hunter can do. As Jinwoo grows stronger, he begins to uncover the secrets behind the dungeons and the System itself.

2) Chainsaw Man

Many fans already consider Chainsaw Man a modern classic in the dark fantasy anime genre, and it’s often grouped with other popular shonen anime like Hell’s Paradise and Jujutsu Kaisen – a trio known for their mature themes. The first season came out in 2022, and while we’re still waiting for news on season two, a movie, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, was released this year and was a huge success. Chainsaw Man follows Denji, a struggling teenager burdened by his father’s huge debt, which he tries to repay by hunting Devils for the yakuza. This gives Denji a second chance at life with a dangerous ability: he can transform into the Chainsaw Devil, a being with chainsaw parts replacing limbs. He’s then recruited by the Public Safety division and joins a team of humans and Devils dedicated to protecting humanity from supernatural dangers.

1) Gachiakuta

Since its release earlier this year, Gachiakuta has become increasingly popular and gained a dedicated following who believe it has the potential to be a major success. The series blends action, adventure, and fantasy in a unique dystopian world, differentiating it from typical action-adventure stories. Its distinctive and gritty art style further enhances the show’s dark and intense atmosphere.

The story of Gachiakuta unfolds in a huge city in the sky, considered a perfect society by most of its people – except for those living in the rundown slums on the edges. Rudo lives in this poorer section when he’s wrongly accused of killing his mentor and banished to the Pit, a desolate wasteland where the city dumps its garbage. This dangerous place is overrun with monsters that feed on the waste. Rudo’s new goal is to become a Cleaner, learning to use a special power that will allow him to battle these creatures and ultimately get revenge for his mentor’s death.
