5 Best JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Games, Ranked

For decades, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has been a beloved series, starting as a manga in 1987 and gaining even more fans with its anime adaptation in 2012. Despite its popularity and strong sales, there haven’t been many video games based on JoJo, and even fewer that are actually good. Fans have often been disappointed by the available games. While we hope that will improve, there are still a few enjoyable JoJo games to play while waiting for the next anime episode.

Here are the five best games based on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

5) JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood

Just so you know, a lot of JoJo games focus on fighting. That’s not surprising, considering how central battles are to the original story, but it does mean there’s not a huge range of different game types. For example, Phantom Blood is a 3D fighting game based on the first part of the manga.

This PlayStation 2 game never left Japan, making it hard to find, but dedicated fans have created English translation patches. While the fighting isn’t the strongest part of the game, Phantom Blood features good voice acting, and experiencing the initial story arc is really enjoyable for those familiar with the series. It would be fantastic if a remastered version with improved combat was released.

4) JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: The 7th Stand User

The 7th Strand User is a fan-made game, not an official JoJo product. It was created using RPG Maker and first released in 2014, with an English version following in 2015. The game takes place during the Stardust Crusaders storyline and lets you create a custom character who joins Jotaro, Avdol, and the other heroes.

This isn’t a direct adaptation of the anime’s third part. It’s a reimagining set in a different universe, featuring a new Stand user who joins the fight against Dio. Be aware that the creator has made some changes to the original story. It’s a good RPG overall, but it has a few unusual elements.

3) JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R

Originally released for PlayStation 3 in 2013, All-Star Battle received a significant update in 2022. PlayStation collaborated with Bandai Namco to re-release the game with improvements throughout, including new voice recordings from most of the original actors, many of whom had become more well-known thanks to the anime’s popularity.

As a JoJo fan, I’m really excited about this fighter! It has over fifty characters to choose from, which is awesome. What’s especially cool is that it includes characters from parts 7 and 8 – those hadn’t been animated yet when the game came out. Now that Steel Ball Run is finally getting an anime in 2026, we’ll probably be waiting a while for JoJolion to get its turn. But even so, it’s a really fun fighting game with a ton of stuff to unlock and keep you busy!

2) JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Heritage For The Future

For many fans of JoJo, Heritage for the Future will be a beloved classic. While this game, originally for Dreamcast and arcades, isn’t perfectly balanced, it’s still very enjoyable – especially if you already love the JoJo series. It’s a real treat for dedicated fans.

Fans of classic fighting games will love how this game looks. The music captures the energetic spirit of JoJo with its exciting guitar riffs, and the gameplay features a fun and accessible combo system. While some characters are very strong, you can easily address that by excluding Pet Shop. The story mode is a lot of fun too, filled with memorable lines from Heritage of the Future that you’ll be repeating for a long time.

1) JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven

This ranking might upset some people, especially those who love playing games with friends on the same couch. While Eyes of Heaven is a tag-team arena fighter from 2016, it surprisingly doesn’t offer local multiplayer – meaning you can’t play with a friend right next to you. It’s a significant oversight by the developers.

If you’re mainly interested in the story mode, Eyes of Heaven is a really enjoyable experience. This fighting game from CyberConnect2 includes 53 characters from all eight parts of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure that had been released up to that point. Be warned, though: Eyes of Heaven doesn’t hold back on spoilers! If you haven’t read or watched the entire series, you might want to skip it. Despite that, it’s fantastic to see characters from across the JoJo universe team up for exciting tag-team battles against Dio Brando and other iconic villains.
