After a month of intense battles, the second phase of DC Comics’ major competition has concluded. For those just joining, the DC Universe is facing a huge threat: Darkseid has returned, stronger than before. This powerful villain has already wiped out the future and is now trying to rewrite the present. To gain the power needed to defeat him, DC’s biggest heroes and villains are battling in a massive tournament. The event has been filled with non-stop action, so much so that the fights have expanded beyond the main DC K.O. comic series.
Rather than squeezing all eight one-on-one fights into a single issue of DC K.O., DC Comics spread them out throughout December with a special event called All Fight Month. This included several standalone issues and related comics featuring exciting matchups like Zatanna versus Etrigan the Demon, Wonder Woman, Captain Atom, Aquaman, and Red Hood. With so many powerful characters involved, the fights were sure to be memorable! Keep reading to discover 5 of the most talked-about battles from DC K.O.’s All Fight Month.
5. Harley Quinn vs. Zatanna

The contrast between Zatanna, the DCU’s most powerful magic user, and Harley Quinn feels extremely unbalanced, like comparing a hydrogen bomb to someone just coughing. Despite Zatanna holding back and Harley being completely willing to fight dirty, their battle is surprisingly engaging. Harley wasn’t trying to gain cosmic power; she wanted to force Zatanna to embrace a more ruthless side, hoping it would prepare her for a bigger challenge. And it worked – Zatanna definitely descends into darkness during the fight.
4. The Flash vs. Green Lantern

While Jay Garrick and Guy Gardner aren’t usually the first names that come to mind when you think of the Flash or Green Lantern, this fight really highlights what makes them both such great heroes. Jay’s clever tactics combined with Guy’s willingness to take risks created a truly exciting battle. It was also fun to see Guy’s old Vuldarian powers from his ‘Warrior’ days – a detail I hadn’t considered in a long time! This fight was a real treat for longtime DC fans.
3. Wonder Woman vs. Lobo

Watching Lobo and Wonder Woman go head-to-head was brilliant – it really felt like something couldn’t stop what no one could move! Their fight was incredibly intense, packed with powerful blows and a lot of trash talk, mostly from Lobo, of course. He’s ridiculously hard to take down, able to heal from almost anything. But Wonder Woman is just so clever, and with a little divine intervention, she managed to win against what felt like the most durable opponent in the DC Universe.
2. Superman vs. Captain Atom

The comic DC K.O. essentially retells Superman’s origin story, and features one of the most exciting fights during All Fight Month. Superman battles Captain Atom, a tremendously powerful opponent who immediately attacks without hesitation. Captain Atom proves to be a strong challenge for Clark, using combinations of kryptonite and red sun energy, and even shifting into his most powerful forms. However, Captain Atom’s arrogance ultimately gives Superman the upper hand, allowing him to absorb Atom’s power and win, advancing Clark to the next round.
1. Aquaman vs. Hawkman

It’s surprising that Aquaman #12 turned out to be a standout issue among the All Fight Month crossovers – especially for those already reading the Aquaman series! The fight between a water-based hero like Aquaman and the air-focused Hawkman is a fantastic match-up. This comic really highlights how much stronger Aquaman has become over the past year. As the avatar of the Blue and wielding god-like power, Aquaman dominates Hawkman, winning every round in a clear display of his strength.
