1. Zoe Slater is adamant she’s found her tormenter as a mystery assailant watches her from afar
The Slater family is going through a difficult period, with increasing friction between Jean and Zoe. Lily worries that her grandmother, Jean, is overdoing things and encourages her to see Anthony, a doctor, but Jean angrily rejects the suggestion.
As the Christmas lights are turned on, a troubling message appears in the window of The Vic. Kat attempts to reassure Zoe, but Zoe goes upstairs and discovers something in Tommy’s bag that makes her suspect he’s the one who’s been bothering her.
Tommy firmly denies any involvement, but Zoe doesn’t believe him and a major fight erupts with Kat, Alfie, and Vicki. After failing to resolve the issue, Kat asks her daughter to leave.
After Anthony asks Zoe to move in with him, she confides in Lauren. The two women share a deep conversation about Zoe’s son, who she hasn’t seen in a long time. As they walk back to Lauren’s house, unaware of a hidden observer, someone is secretly watching them.
2. Freddie Slater and Anna Knight bid farewell to Albert Square
Freddie and Anna are leaving to travel, and everyone’s saying goodbye. At the Christmas lights switch-on, Elaine gave a heartfelt speech about them, getting the chance to speak because Peacock Palace sponsored the event. This made Ian very angry.
Before leaving, Anna is determined to help Kojo, Gina, and Harry mend their fractured relationship, and she also wants to talk to her father, George, about the importance of forgiving others.

3. Howie Danes and Anthony Trueman‘s secrets are on the brink of exposure
Howie finds himself in a tricky situation when Patrick mistakenly believes he’s planning to propose to Kim. Encouraged by Alfie, Howie decides to go for it and proposes during the town’s lights ceremony.
Kim was thrilled when he proposed, but Anthony became wary and started investigating. When he shared what he found with Howie, the situation changed, and the balance of power shifted.
Two long-held secrets are revealed, and the people involved are determined to hide them, all while Kim enthusiastically prepares for an engagement party. However, this being Walford, things quickly go awry…
4. Peter Beale spots Lauren having a secret conversation with Ian
Lauren had a private talk with Ian after being tricked by a fake doctor who promised to help Jimmy with his vision problems.
Unbeknownst to them, Peter had been watching their conversation, and she hastily changed the subject to cover what they’d been talking about.
5. Harry Mitchell is troubled by a run-in with Okie’s sister
Harry is struggling with drug addiction and deceitfully takes Nicola’s credit card. Meanwhile, Nicola worries about how Teddy’s guilty plea will affect their son, so she arranges for Honey and Billy to look after him while she goes to court.
It’s heartbreaking to watch him relapse so quickly. He manages to get money for drugs anyway, and then feels awful about it, especially when he runs into Okie’s sister, Dejia. She actually invites him to the memorial, which just makes him feel even worse, knowing what he’s done.
Encouraged by what Anna said, George went to see Harry at No. 1, bringing Kojo and Gina with him. While there, Kojo noticed an invitation to Okie’s memorial service and convinced Harry to go with him.
At McKlunky’s, Nicola is feeling sick to her stomach, but she’s struggling to tell George she’s pregnant.
