5 Game Reveal & Trailer Predictions for Summer Game Fest, Ranked from Least to Most Likely

Get ready for a lot of gaming news in early June! Summer Game Fest 2026 kicks off on June 5th at 5 PM Eastern Time, hosted by Geoff Keighley. Throughout the week, there will be several showcases for independent games, plus new presentations from PlayStation and Xbox. This means announcements and trailers will be revealed over several days, but Keighley’s main event on June 5th is expected to have some major reveals.

Summer Game Fest is a major gaming event, second only to The Game Awards, where big game companies usually make important announcements and show off new trailers. This year, though, we don’t know much about who will be there. We do know we’ll see more of Insomniac’s Marvel’s Wolverine during a State of Play presentation, but Summer Game Fest itself is largely a question mark. However, looking at what’s happened in the past and what games people are most excited about, we can make some reasonable predictions. The following list is based on my own expectations and what gamers are hoping for, not on any inside information or leaks. Here are 6 game reveals and trailers I’d love to see at Summer Game Fest 2026, starting with the least likely and moving towards the most probable.

6) The Elder Scrolls 6 First Real Trailer

I know it’s unlikely, but I’m still hoping to see The Elder Scrolls 6 this year. Todd Howard has indicated it will be quite a while before we get a proper reveal. Still, maybe all the talk about announcing the game too early was misleading? I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed and watching every gaming showcase until Bethesda gives us an update. So, while it’s a long shot, I’m hoping ES6 appears at Summer Game Fest.

4) Persona 6 Announcement Trailer

As Persona 5 celebrates its 10th anniversary and anticipation builds for a new game, many believe Atlus is on the verge of announcing Persona 6. While not officially confirmed, a new installment in the beloved JRPG series seems likely, especially with recent leaks hinting at key details. A reveal at Summer Game Fest would be the perfect time to share the first trailer for the next Persona game.

3) First Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Gameplay Trailer

It’s been quiet about Naughty Dog’s new game since it was announced in 2024. The last significant update suggested a potential release around mid-2027. With that timeframe in mind, Summer Game Fest seems like a perfect opportunity for Naughty Dog to share an update and possibly show off some gameplay. After a cinematic trailer a few years ago, fans are eager to see how the game actually plays. While I’m not expecting a big reveal, it feels like the right time for Naughty Dog to let fans know the game is still in development and progressing well.

2) New Grand Theft Auto 6 Gameplay Trailer

After a lengthy wait and some setbacks, GTA 6 is now expected to launch on November 19th. With the release date approaching, we can anticipate a big marketing push soon. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rockstar releases a new gameplay trailer during Summer Game Fest this year. While Rockstar has officially stated marketing won’t begin until the official start of summer on June 21st, given the event’s name, I still suspect they might make an exception and reveal something next week.

1) Dungeons & Dragons: Warlock First Gameplay Trailer

Now that Giant Skull’s D&D RPG has been cancelled, I’m starting to feel concerned about Warlock. However, I’m still optimistic we’ll eventually get this single-player story-driven game. Wizards of the Coast suggested at The Game Awards that we might hear more about Warlock around summer 2026, which strongly implies we’ll see it at Summer Game Fest. If we don’t get a new update soon – ideally, a first look at gameplay – I’ll be worried the game might be delayed or even cancelled altogether.
