Yet, this format has been predominantly employed in other genres. For instance, in horror, we have films like “An American Werewolf in London,” “Just Before Dawn,” “Cabin Fever,” “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer,” most of the “Evil Dead” franchise, and “The Cabin in the Woods.” In comedy, there are movies such as the “Vacation” series, “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar,” “Blended,” “Grown Ups,” and similar ones. There have also been a few vacation disaster films, with “The Impossible” being one of the notable examples.

In the movie “Breakdown”, Kurt Russell portrays the character Jeff Taylor. Alongside his wife, Amy, they embark on a long road trip that takes an unexpected turn when their vehicle suddenly stops working. Amy leaves to seek assistance, and fortuitously, a sympathetic truck driver offers her a ride. However, this truck driver fails to return Amy, leaving Jeff in a perilous situation where he must locate his missing wife and devise a plan to evade the menacing truck driver.

3) Deliverance

In the novel Deliverance, a group of four businessmen plan a leisurely canoe journey on the pristine Cahulawassee River, but they do so just before it’s scheduled for damming. Unfortunately, their peaceful trip takes an ominous turn as the locals harbor resentment towards “city folks,” and the survival of these four men is by no means guaranteed.

The movie “Deliverance” is widely known for its reputation, with a specific sequence that stands out. This film offers a unique blend of eeriness, intrigue, and a palpable sense of atmosphere. It earns the title of one of the most iconic outdoor adventure films due to its accurate portrayal of the varying responses from the four diverse characters to the wilderness. 4) The River Wild

In “The River Wild,” Meryl Streep plays Gail Hartman, a former river guide whose marriage with her constantly busy husband, Tom (David Strathairn), is nearing its end. With Tom abandoning their family rafting expedition on Idaho’s Salmon River, it appears their relationship may be beyond repair. However, when Tom unexpectedly joins Gail for the journey down the river, there’s a glimmer of hope that their marriage might be rekindled and find solace amidst the river’s flow.

Initially, the peaceful atmosphere is disrupted when they encounter Wade (Kevin Bacon, who previously worked in outdoor cinema, most notably in ‘Friday the 13th’), Terry, and Frank. At first, all seems well, but upon meeting them again, the Hartmans find that Frank, their rafting guide, is missing. According to them, he left following an argument; however, the truth is much darker – they murdered him because dividing a stolen bank’s loot three ways is better than just splitting it. Unfortunately, Gail, Tom, and their son Roarke now know too much about the crime, which puts them in danger not only from the robbers but also the treacherous rapids.

5) Spider-Man: Far From Home

Although often viewed as Jon Watts’ least powerful Spider-Man trilogy installment, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” remains a jovial watch. It’s crucial to remember that if they hadn’t discovered his identity first, Peter Parker wouldn’t have needed to erase everyone’s memory of him.

Fortunately, Mysterio, a multiversal superhero, arrives at the scene, seemingly intent on assisting Spider-Man to resolve the crisis (or is he?).
