Over the years, the Avengers have become known as Earth’s strongest heroes, bringing together many of the most powerful characters from the comic book world. The team includes skilled fighters like Captain America, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, brilliant inventors like Iron Man and Hank Pym, and incredibly powerful individuals like Thor, Captain Marvel, and the Scarlet Witch. It takes a truly exceptional hero to join the Avengers. Luckily, every comic book company has heroes with that potential, and many of them could easily become members of Marvel’s flagship team.
Image Comics features a wide range of compelling characters, from traditional superheroes to brilliant scientists and those with magical abilities. While not every hero from Image would be a good fit for the Avengers, five of them definitely have what it takes to join the team, each offering unique skills and strengths.
5) Grant McKay from Black Science

Black Science is a fantastic sci-fi comic that follows Grant McKay, a scientist who invented the Pillar—a device for traveling between universes. His journeys are filled with incredible dangers, both magical and powered by super-abilities. McKay is a complex character, much like Hank Pym, struggling with personal demons but consistently striving to do what he believes is right, even when he stumbles. He possesses the skills and potential to be a vital asset to a team like the Avengers.
4) Invincible

The superhero series Invincible features a lot of powerful characters who could potentially join the Avengers. But when it comes to who would be the best fit, it’s undoubtedly Invincible himself. He possesses all the qualities needed for Marvel’s top team: incredible strength and resilience, allowing him to battle even the most formidable foes. He’s also intelligent, resourceful, and never backs down from a fight, even against opponents who are stronger. Plus, he’s already friends with Spider-Man, which would make him a great addition to the team and help him fit right in with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
3) Savage Dragon

First appearing as one of Image Comics’ earliest titles, The Savage Dragon tells the story of a superpowered police officer in Chicago who consistently fought alongside the world’s best heroes. Remarkably resilient, he built a lasting legacy through his children. Dragon is a skilled team player, incredibly tough, a clever fighter, and possesses strength tailored to any situation. Having effectively functioned as part of an Avengers-level team in his own universe, he’d be a valuable addition to Marvel’s flagship team. Although his brutal methods might concern some teammates, his power and experience would undoubtedly benefit Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
2) Persephone

The comic series The Wicked + The Divine centers around the Pantheon – a group of twelve individuals who gain god-like powers every ninety years. These individuals become both celebrated and reviled, but their lives are tragically cut short after just two years. Unbeknownst to most, a thirteenth member exists, opposing the recurring figure of Ananke: Persephone. In the current story, Persephone is a girl named Laura, a devoted fan of the Pantheon herself. She’s incredibly powerful, capable of unleashing destructive energy tendrils, and consistently fights to protect those she believes are innocent. She’d be a fantastic addition to a team like the Avengers – she’d be a popular and powerful member. Furthermore, being part of a team could help her deal with her own personal struggles, as she shares similar experiences with its members.
1) Old Man Prophet

Prophet is a fantastic example of science fiction in comic book form, set in a distant future where a galactic war is raging. The main character, Old Man Prophet, fights against the Earth Empire, which used the genetic material of a legendary hero named John Prophet to build its army. Old Man Prophet leads a force of alien warriors in a rebellion against the Empire’s oppressive rule. After winning, he enters a long sleep, only to be awakened when the Empire’s hidden forces try to conquer the galaxy once more. Old Man Prophet is an incredibly talented fighter and strategist – he’d fit right in with the Avengers, and could even become their leader given his diverse skillset.
