5 Marvel and DC Crossovers We Need the Big Two to Do Next

Marvel and DC Comics are teaming up again for a series of special crossover issues, bringing some of their most popular heroes together. Following the success of last year’s Batman and Deadpool team-up, the two comic giants are continuing to collaborate. This spring, they’ll release Superman/Spider-Man and Spider-Man/Superman, focusing on stories that also involve the supporting characters of both heroes. It’s exciting to see Marvel and DC working together, and fans are eager to see what other crossovers they have planned.

It might be premature to think about future team-ups before we’ve even seen all the specials from the current crossover. However, now that Marvel and DC are collaborating again, it’s exciting to imagine what other hero combinations could work well together. We could see characters like Iron Man and Mr. Terrific bonding over their love of technology, or maybe a dynamic duo of Supergirl and She-Hulk. There are countless possibilities, and here are 5 crossover ideas Marvel and DC should definitely explore.

5. Black Panther/Aquaman

Okay, hear me out – a Black Panther and Aquaman team-up isn’t as wild as it sounds! As a movie fan, I’ve been thinking about it, and both T’Challa and Arthur Curry are basically rulers of super-advanced, hidden kingdoms that constantly have to deal with threats from the outside world. I’d love to see a special where they just talk – about the pressure of leadership, the kinds of villains they face… imagine a Killmonger and Ocean Master alliance! They seem totally different, sure, but I think a dedicated special could really highlight how much these two heroic kings actually have in common.

4. Supergirl/She-Hulk

Look, Supergirl is a star, and frankly, if we’re not going to see her team up with Superman or Spider-Man anytime soon, let’s give her a solo spotlight! And honestly, She-Hulk feels like the perfect co-star. They both navigate what it’s like living in the shadow – or alongside – a famous relative, and I can just see them having a blast fighting bad guys and swapping life stories. Plus, She-Hulk’s tendency to break the fourth wall? That could be magic. We could end up with something as wildly fun and clever as Grant Morrison’s Batman/Deadpool run. Seriously, give this pairing a shot!

3. Iron Man/Mr. Terrific

It’s surprising Iron Man hasn’t appeared in any of these team-up stories yet, and I think Marvel and DC could fix that by pairing him with Mr. Terrific. They’re both incredibly intelligent, and Tony Stark’s confident personality would clash nicely with Mr. Terrific’s more reserved nature. A special featuring both heroes, focusing on their inventive abilities, could be a really fascinating look at both characters. Honestly, I’d love to see Mr. Terrific one-up Tony by building an even better Iron Man suit.

2. Joker/Venom

Let’s consider this: both the Joker and Venom are incredibly popular characters – popular enough to each have their own movie series. While they began as villains, they’ve both become iconic figures in their own right. I can easily imagine these two trading witty insults and arguments in a comic book issue. It’s a bit of an unusual concept, I’ll admit, but even if you’re tired of the Joker, wouldn’t you be at least a little curious to see what would happen if he bonded with a symbiote?

1. X-Men/Titans

As a huge fan, I’m getting really excited because we’re almost at the 45th anniversary of that incredible Uncanny X-Men and New Teen Titans team-up! So many people consider that story one of the best crossovers ever between Marvel and DC, and there was even talk of a follow-up back then, but it never happened. Now that Marvel and DC are working together again, it feels like the perfect time for a brand new story bringing these two iconic teams together. Both the X-Men and the Titans have evolved so much over the years, and seeing them reunite would be amazing – it would really show everyone how far they’ve come!
