From her first appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron, she showed abilities that no other hero possessed. As her backstory developed, fans increasingly agreed. However, surprisingly, a few other magic users in the MCU could potentially surpass her power.

Characters like Hela, Dormammu, and Billy Maximoff are just as powerful magically as the Scarlet Witch, and some might even be more so. Their magical abilities, along with their combat skills or sheer determination, could give them a significant edge against Wanda. Dormammu Can Take Wanda Down In The Dark Dimension

Scarlet Witch would bravely face Dormammu in his dark realm, but she’d eventually understand she couldn’t defeat him with magic alone. Unless she could outsmart him like Doctor Strange, Wanda would likely fall to his power.

Hela Has Years of Experience with Magic

Cate Blanchett introduced the character of Hela in Thor: Ragnarok, and she quickly established herself as one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most terrifying villains. She effortlessly defeated her brother, leaving him without any power – a feat that was only the latest in a long line of victories she achieved after escaping imprisonment.

While Wanda is powerful as the Scarlet Witch, Hela, the Goddess of Death, is on a whole other level. As Odin’s daughter, she operates with a power and authority that Wanda simply doesn’t have. Hela essentially sets the rules that Wanda’s magic tries to break, and she understands magic far better. Combined with her vast experience, Hela would easily defeat Wanda in a fight.

Billy Maximoff Will Become An Omnipotent Being

Following the revelation about Agatha Harkness, many viewers are surprised by the potential power of Billy Kaplan, also known as Wiccan. He’s currently new to magic, but if the Marvel Cinematic Universe follows the comic books, Wiccan is destined to become even more powerful than the Scarlet Witch, potentially unlocking his full potential as the Demiurge.

This character, known as the Demiurge, isn’t just a powerful magician – he’s essentially all-powerful. He can not only use magic at its peak, but also change the very rules of how magic works. Once he unlocks this ability, even Wanda’s skill in battle won’t be enough to defeat him.

Loki Has Power Over The Multiverse

I’ve been a fan of Loki ever since he first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – he was always so clever and skilled with magic! But after the finale of his series, Loki, his powers became absolutely mind-blowing. Becoming the God of Stories unlocked a cosmic level of power for him, linking him directly to the multiverse and amplifying his already impressive magical abilities. It’s incredible to think he’s now essentially the reason all those timelines even exist! He’s gone from mischievous trickster to a fundamental force of the universe, and it’s amazing to witness.

When we last saw Scarlet Witch, she was beginning to understand the multiverse, but still relied on America Chávez to travel between worlds. Now, with characters like Loki who are part of the multiverse itself, her chaos magic alone isn’t enough to handle the challenges ahead.

Death Is A Cosmic Entity

While Agatha Harkness couldn’t defeat the Scarlet Witch, her partner wouldn’t have the same trouble. This original witch represents ultimate destruction – she’s a fundamental, unstoppable force of the universe, unlike Wanda, who is powerful but still human.

Death has a deeper understanding of magic than any other witch, claiming to be the very first one. Even Wanda’s powerful connection to chaos magic wouldn’t be enough to defeat her. Death probably created magic itself, or at least knows everything about it. Adding to this, Death is thousands of years old, while Wanda is much younger. This gives Death a massive advantage in combat experience, and she isn’t bound by any moral limits – she’ll do whatever it takes to win. Killing is simply a natural act for her.
