5 Most Powerful Weapons in the Arrowverse

Superheroes are generally awesome. They often possess amazing abilities and use them to safeguard people, confronting dangerous enemies and rescuing those in need, typically through their own strength and expertise. However, in The CW’s Arrowverse-the live-action series based on DC Comics heroes-characters like Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl didn’t just rely on each other; they also had access to impressive gadgets-and sometimes faced incredibly frightening weapons used by their opponents.

Weapons add a lot of excitement to stories about superheroes. They create unexpected problems for heroes, sometimes leading to entire seasons focused on stopping villains and taking away their weapons. These weapons also give heroes a crucial edge when fighting enemies with incredible powers. While the Arrowverse is full of amazing weapons, a few are particularly powerful-one of them is practically a super-tool, capable of doing almost anything.

5) Arrows (Arrow)

As a long-time fan of the Arrowverse, I’ve definitely noticed that arrows are the most consistently used weapon, especially in Arrow itself! It’s their sheer frequency that makes them so impactful – it’s not just Oliver Queen/Green Arrow who relies on them, but characters like Malcolm Merlyn and Roy Harper too. They’re simply effective, efficient, and there are always plenty around. But while arrows seem pretty basic on the surface, Oliver Queen doesn’t just carry your average arrow. Throughout the whole Arrowverse, we’ve seen him pull out all sorts of trick arrows, like nanite arrows, magnetic arrows, and of course, the famous boxing glove arrow! However, the most powerful arrow used in the Arrowverse might just be the Kryptonite arrow, created as a precaution in case a villainous Supergirl ever appeared.

4) Totems of Zambesi (Legends of Tomorrow)

Few things are as captivating as magical objects, and Legends of Tomorrow features six of them. The Totems of Zambesi are six magical artifacts made by the gods for the tribes of Zambesi. Each totem grants its user control over a different elemental power. Throughout the show, the Spirit totem (wielded by Amaya Jiwe) and the Air totem (used by both Zari and Behrad Tarazi) were the most frequently seen. Although powerful on their own, the totems combined can stop demons – a feat the Legends accomplish by summoning a massive Beebo doll and defeating the demon Mallus.

3) Khushu Idol (Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow)

Let me tell you, when I say there’s nothing quite like a magical object in a show, I really mean it. And the Arrowverse is *full* of them – take the Khushu Idol, for example. This thing is seriously rare, created by a group called the Homo Magi, and it lets whoever wields it tap into some seriously dark magic. But here’s the catch – and it’s a big one. Getting those physical and psychic boosts from the idol doesn’t come free. It actually *requires* death – it draws strength from the people around the user dying, and feeds off fear and negativity. It’s a truly terrifying object, and it doesn’t just affect what the user *can* do, it corrupts them mentally and morally, forcing them to desperately try and build up an immunity. We saw this firsthand with Damien Darhk in the Arrowverse, and believe me, it didn’t end well for our heroes. It’s a dangerous artifact, and a prime example of why magical power comes with a heavy price.

2) Spear of Destiny (Legends of Tomorrow)

The Spear of Destiny is a unique item in the Arrowverse. It’s less about magic and more about its historical and religious significance as a biblical artifact. Also known as the Holy Lance, it’s believed to be the spear that wounded Jesus Christ during the crucifixion, and this event is said to have given it extraordinary powers. While it has several abilities, its most significant power is the ability to completely alter reality – and that’s precisely what the Legion of Doom exploited it for.

1) Speed Force Bazooka (The Flash)

Although The Flash has featured many impressive weapons, none compare to the sheer power and versatility of the Speed Force Bazooka. Originally created to imprison the villain Savitar within the Speed Force, this weapon proved to be much more than a one-trick pony. After Savitar stole it, he made Cisco reprogram it into a device that could splice dimensions. However, thanks to some clever adjustments by Cisco, it unexpectedly functioned as a kind of master key to the Speed Force, enabling the heroes to rescue Jay Garrick from imprisonment. Later on, it was even altered to become an “embiggening bazooka.” While the science behind it is complex (like much of the technology on The Flash), its adaptability and connection to the Speed Force make it the most powerful weapon across the entire Arrowverse – and thankfully, it ended up in the hands of the heroes.
