As Winter 2026 anime finish their last episodes in March, fans are preparing to say goodbye to five shows in particular. With the Spring 2026 season starting in April, bringing a fresh batch of new anime, it’s time to wrap up the current favorites – including both recently popular series and returning classics.
For the past few months, everyone’s been talking mostly about returning anime series – and it makes sense, as many of them are nearing their final episodes. Since these shows are wrapping up soon, here’s a rundown of five major anime finales to watch for this March.

5). Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1
It might seem wrong to put Jujutsu Kaisen at the top of this list, especially since its third season has been incredibly popular. However, the season won’t be as complete as others. It only covers the beginning of the Culling Game arc, leaving viewers with a major cliffhanger and a long wait for season four.
Watching this show, I get the feeling the finale won’t be as satisfying or conclusive as others I’ve seen. That’s probably why everything else feels more impactful in comparison. Honestly, no matter how it ends, it won’t quite feel like a real ending. Still, I think the final fight is worth watching – it’s easily the biggest spectacle of the season.

4). My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2
The second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes hasn’t gotten as much attention as it deserves, but it’s been excellent. The season recently concluded a significant story arc that delved into the backstory of Shota Aizawa, answering questions fans had from the original series. Alongside this, the season has shown how the show’s own group of vigilante heroes are developing and improving with each challenge they face.
The season is wrapping up with a storyline straight from the original manga, and Koichi is facing his biggest challenge yet. Throughout the season, threats, monsters, and a mysterious villain have been brewing, and the finale promises to bring everything to a head. You won’t want to miss it!

3). Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is currently the top-rated anime series ever, and its second season is quickly gaining similar praise. While the first part of the season featured mostly standalone, single-episode stories, the focus is now shifting towards a larger arc. Frieren and her companions are currently on a dangerous quest to defeat a powerful demon as the season approaches its ending.
The second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has fewer episodes than the first, but the animation and detail remain incredibly high quality. With the start of a new story arc featuring a powerful demon, viewers can expect more of the exciting action that made the first season so popular.

2). Golden Kamuy Final Season
Despite several popular anime series currently airing, two are nearing their conclusions and deserve a close look. While Golden Kamuy hasn’t been a fan favorite recently, it’s finishing its run with these final episodes. As the series wraps up its years-long quest for hidden gold in Hokkaido, viewers will finally see how the story ends.
You might not have heard of this show yet, but it’s worth checking out, especially for the surprising ending. It’s a really quirky and engaging series that quickly pulls you in.
1). Fire Force
With many winter anime series wrapping up, Fire Force is currently standing out. The anime adaptation of Atsushi Okubo’s manga began its final season last year, and the latest episodes have been incredibly intense. While the action has been great to watch, the story is reaching a chaotic climax as the world falls apart. The very fabric of reality is bending and changing, and this is affecting the characters’ powers.
The battles are bigger and more intense than ever, the characters are reaching new levels of power as the very nature of reality shifts around them, and the world itself is crumbling. This truly feels like a final season, and it’s something you won’t want to miss to see how everything resolves.
