Osiris feels like a blend of films such as Alien and Predator, almost as if a fast-paced, sci-fi video game has been brought to the screen. Critic Brent McKnight describes it as a “fun, pulpy B-movie” with impressive practical effects and references to classic sci-fi, praising director William Kaufman’s “tight, badass, and plentiful” action sequences. However, Sarah Vincent hits the nail on the head: the movie truly becomes compelling after the first hour when the characters are given a clear mission beyond just surviving, and Linda Hamilton’s performance is the main draw.

Look, sometimes you just want a fun, cheesy action movie, right? That’s exactly what Osiris is. It totally leans into all the stuff we love about 80s classics like the original Predator, but updates it to a futuristic 2025 setting.
