The new Marvel movie, Avengers: Doomsday, already boasts a large cast, but some notable characters haven’t been announced yet. Since its start in 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has brought many heroes and villains from Marvel Comics to life. As the current story arc, the Multiverse Saga, nears its end, Avengers: Doomsday – the first of a two-part finale – is set to be the next big event. While many cast members have been revealed, some familiar faces are surprisingly missing from the official announcements.
As the culmination of the Multiverse Saga, Doomsday is expected to bring together heroes from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including characters from the X-Men films originally produced by Fox, and those returning from previous MCU movies. Despite this, several powerful characters haven’t been officially confirmed to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, leading many to believe they won’t be involved. However, despite the lack of official announcements, it seems likely these characters will still play some role in the film.
7) Daredevil

Daredevil recently returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again, and many fans believe he’d be a great addition to the upcoming Doomsday movie, even though Charlie Cox hasn’t been officially confirmed for the cast. Cox has surprised audiences before with a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which suggests he might appear in Doomsday without being formally announced.
6) Spider-Man

Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s most recognizable heroes, but it hasn’t been confirmed if Tom Holland will be in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. There’s been a lot of talk about who will play Spider-Man in the film, with some fans suggesting Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield might take on the role. However, it appears Spider-Man will definitely be involved in the story somehow, no matter who plays him.
5) Wolverine

Wolverine has become a hugely popular and powerful hero in Marvel movies, and Hugh Jackman’s return to the role in the 2024 film Deadpool & Wolverine has excited fans. With Avengers: Doomsday already bringing back several actors from the X-Men movies, most people expect Jackman to join them. Given how strong and well-liked Wolverine is, it would be surprising if he wasn’t included in the upcoming film – he’s simply too important to leave out.
4) Ms Marvel

Ms. Marvel’s recent storyline hinted at her forming a team of young heroes for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but she hasn’t been prominently featured since. Despite being a very powerful young hero, actress Iman Vellani isn’t currently listed in the cast of Avengers: Doomsday. Given her abilities and connections to other Avengers, it makes sense for Ms. Marvel to be included, so many fans expect to see her in the film even without an official announcement.
3) Hulk

The Hulk will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This appearance is thought to explain why Mark Ruffalo wasn’t initially listed among the cast for Avengers: Doomsday. Given Hulk’s power and status as one of the original Avengers, it would be surprising if he didn’t have a part to play in such a significant movie within the Multiverse Saga. While Marvel hasn’t officially announced Ruffalo’s involvement, fans are widely anticipating the Jade Giant’s appearance.
2) She-Hulk

She-Hulk is a strong character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it hasn’t been confirmed she’ll be in Avengers: Doomsday. After appearing in her own Disney+ show, she’s been noticeably missing from the MCU. Because she’s one of the few current heroes not yet announced for Doomsday, many fans think she might make an unexpected appearance in the upcoming Multiverse Saga movie.
1) Scarlet Witch

It’s surprising that the Scarlet Witch’s story appears to be finished, given how powerful and important she is to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the multiverse offers a way to bring her back, Elizabeth Olsen hasn’t been confirmed to be in Avengers: Doomsday. However, Marvel is known for keeping secrets, and Wanda Maximoff is a strong possibility for a surprise appearance, considering her complex role and immense power within the franchise.
