
The actors who starred in the Harry Potter movies have become major names in Hollywood, and several are lined up for leading roles in seven new films. While Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson weren’t well-known before the first Harry Potter movie came out, the main trio—along with other cast members—have since worked with top directors and appeared in some of the most popular movie franchises around.
It’s been over ten years since the Harry Potter movies ended, but many of the actors are still thriving in their careers. Here are seven new films featuring stars from the Harry Potter series, and reasons to look forward to watching them.
7) Daniel Radcliffe in Trust the Man

Daniel Radcliffe, best known as Harry Potter, is joining the cast of a new movie called Trust the Man. Will Graham, who created A League of Their Own, will direct. Lucas Hedges, known for his role in Manchester by the Sea, will also star. The film is a Vietnam War story about an Army Intelligence officer investigating the background of a highly decorated soldier.
6) Rupert Grint in Ebeneezer: A Christmas Carol

Everyone knows A Christmas Carol as a beloved holiday story, and a new version is coming soon with some familiar faces. Starring Johnny Depp as Scrooge, Ebeneezer: A Christmas Carol – a 2026 adaptation from Paramount – will also feature Rupert Grint, Andrea Riseborough, Tramell Tillman, Ian McKellen, and Daisy Ridley.
In the upcoming film Ebeneezer: A Christmas Carol, actor Grint will portray Bob Cratchit. Cratchit is Scrooge’s poorly paid worker and the father of the beloved character, Tiny Tim.
5) Ralph Fiennes in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping

Ralph Fiennes is known for his roles in popular franchises like Harry Potter, 28 Days Later, James Bond, and The Kingsman, and he’s joining another: The Hunger Games. He’ll be in the upcoming prequel, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, directed by Francis Lawrence. The movie focuses on the 50th Hunger Games and features Haymitch Abernathy as a contestant.
Ralph Fiennes will play a younger President Snow in the upcoming film. Donald Sutherland previously played the character in the original Hunger Games series, and Tom Blyth portrayed him in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.
4) Domhnall Gleeson in Night Boat to Tangier

Domhnall Gleeson, known for his role as Bill Weasley in the Harry Potter films, will be featured in the movie adaptation of Kevin Barry’s 2019 novel, Night Boat to Tangier. The film centers around two older Irish criminals as they wait for their daughter to arrive at a port in southern Spain. James Marsh, the director of The Theory of Everything, is directing, and Michael Fassbender and Ruth Negga also star.
3) Helena Bonham Carter in Enola Holmes 3

Helena Bonham Carter is returning for the third Enola Holmes movie on Netflix. She previously played Eudoria Holmes in the first two films and will reprise the role in the upcoming sequel, scheduled for release in 2026. The movie, directed by Philip Barantini, will also star Millie Bobby Brown, Louis Partridge, and Henry Cavill. The Enola Holmes series is very popular on the streaming platform.
2) Jason Isaacs in Eleven Days

Jason Isaacs, known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, is set to appear in the new thriller Eleven Days. The movie tells the true story of the 1974 Huntsville Prison siege, where a prisoner’s escape attempt led to an eleven-day hostage crisis. Isaacs will play Father Joseph O’Brien, joining Taylor Kitsch and Diego Luna in the cast. Peter Landesman, who directed the 2015 film Concussion, is directing Eleven Days.
1) David Thewliss in Littlemouth

David Thewlis, known for his role as Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter films, is set to appear in the new movie Littlemouth. This sci-fi mystery centers on a computer scientist hired by a tech billionaire for a potentially world-altering project. Jonathan Sobol, who directed The Padre, is directing the film, which also stars Dennis Quaid, Isabelle Fuhrman, Josh Hutcherson, and Kiera Allen, alongside Thewlis.
