The April 2026 games for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium are now available. Also, we’re letting you know which games will be leaving the service next month.
Eight PS5, PS4 titles will leave the PS Plus Extra tier on 19th May 2026, and those are:
- MotoGP 25 (PS5, PS4)
- Sand Land (PS5, PS4)
- Soul Hackers 2 (PS5, PS4)
- Mortal Shell (PS4)
- Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition (PS5)
- Control: Ultimate Edition (PS5)
- The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan (PS4)
- The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope (PS5, PS4)
As a PlayStation Plus member, I was a little bummed to learn that the games on the Extra tier are different from the Essential tier. With Essential, if you download a game, you can keep playing it as long as you stay subscribed. But with Extra, if a game leaves the service, you lose access to it. So, if I want to keep playing any of the games leaving on May 19th, 2026, I’ll have to actually buy them separately. It’s a bit of a bummer, but at least I have time to decide!
PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers have less than a month left to enjoy these PS5 and PS4 games, so it’s a good time to start anything you’ve been meaning to play. Games like Sand Land will take more time, but the two Dark Pictures Anthology titles are shorter and could easily be finished over a weekend.
