In just a few days, we can finally watch the second season of Wednesday, and after a long wait of three years, viewers are eager to find out what happens next to Jenna Ortega’s main character as she goes back to Nevermore Academy.

As we approach its launch, we’ve already received official cast confirmations, initial character snapshots, and a trailer hinting at the chaos that will unfold in this sequel’s narrative.

Once again, Ortega takes charge of the popular Netflix show, additionally acting as a producer for season 2. This new season will feature stars such as Joanna Lumley, Steve Buscemi, and Billie Piper alongside her.

In an interview with TopMob magazine, Lumley shared that her expected character, Grandmama Hester Frump, turned out to be a larger role than initially agreed upon, and she found it delightful because the writers added numerous additional scenes for her.

Previously, the creators, Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, hinted that the portrayal of Hester by Lumley would feature an “unusual dynamic” in her relationship with Wednesday. This intriguing twist is something we eagerly anticipate exploring.

Although Christina Ricci hasn’t officially been included in the season 2 cast roster yet, fans are still discussing the possibility that she might make a brief appearance as a guest star.

In the upcoming adaptation by Tim Burton of the ’90s Addams family films, Ricci won’t be the sole original cast member from that era anymore, because Christopher Lloyd, who played Uncle Fester in those beloved movies, will make a guest appearance in season 2, portraying Professor Orloff.
