Alexis Bledel is returning to Treetop.
For more than two decades following her role in the movie adaptation of Natalie Babbitt’s cherished children’s novel, Tuck Everlasting, Alexis is back, lending her voice to narrate the audiobook as a tribute for the book’s 50th anniversary.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but reminisce about the time I graced the silver screen alongside some of Hollywood’s finest in the 2002 film adaptation of the 1975 novel. The one and only Jonathan Jackson played my love interest, Jesse Tuck, while acting greats like Ben Kingsley, Sissy Spacek, Victor Garber, Elisabeth Shue, and William Hurt were also part of this incredible cast. It’s a memory I cherish dearly as a Gilmore Girls alum!
Alexis shared in a May statement to People that going back to this world was truly remarkable for her. The story of Tuck Everlasting is close to her heart because she portrayed Winnie Foster in the movie long ago.
The 43-year-old felt privileged to retell “this cherished narrative” in celebration of its anniversary. Furthermore, he expressed that revisiting the story has been an enchanting trip, prompting him to ponder over the essence of living a fulfilling life.
She remarked that the book is an everlasting source of inspiration, and she’s excited to breathe life into its enchanting story once more for a fresh group of audiophiles.
In a recently shared video, actress Alexis (from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) is heard narrating the initial part of a Newbery Honor-winning book. This segment introduces the storyline about Winnie, a character living in America during 1914, who encounters the Tucks – a family that acquired immortality by drinking from a magical spring found deep within the woods.
Ever since its publication in 1975, the novel “Tuck Everlasting” has been recognized as a timeless piece of children’s literature. With more than 10 million copies sold and a 2016 Broadway musical adaptation featuring renowned actors like Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Carolee Carmello, and Terrence Mann, it continues to captivate audiences.
Alongside Alexis’s upcoming audiobook release on September 2nd, there will also be a unique 50th anniversary edition of the book, in addition to an original graphic novel adaption by K. Woodman-Maynard.

The narrative unfolds around two principal characters, Hawkins Fuller (portrayed by Matt Bomer) and Timothy Laughlin (Jonathan Bailey), who embark on a tumultuous journey that spans from the 1950s to the 1980s.

This drama brimming with grand battles and tragic love stories is inspired by the widely acclaimed book series penned by George R.R Martin. Although the books are successful on their own merit, the television adaptation has gained a global fanbase, even among those who wouldn’t typically identify as fans of the original work. Over eight seasons, the HBO production earned an impressive 58 Emmy Awards, making it the most award-winning drama in history. Despite differing opinions on the controversial finale, which deviated from Martin’s plans to present a unique conclusion, this show will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the most lauded productions ever made.
HBO’s TV series adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s popular novel captivated top-tier actors for small-screen performances, with Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, and Laura Dern inhabiting the highly desirable roles of five women tangled in a murder mystery. As gripping as the book, the first season garnered eight Primetime Emmy Awards and managed to convince Meryl Streep to take on a significant role for the second season, which Moriarty contributed to even without additional source material. Though not quite as universally adored as the first, season two still secured nominations for both Meryl Streep and Laura Dern in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category.

The series “Palm Royale,” which premiered on Apple TV+, received three Emmy nominations for 2024 in the categories of Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series (Kristen Wiig), and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Carol Burnett). Despite being adapted from the 2018 book “Mr. & Mrs. American Pie” by Juliet McDaniel, the show deviates significantly from its original source material. Set during the late ’60s, the series focuses on Kristen Wiig’s character, Maxine Simmons, a former beauty pageant queen, as she strives to infiltrate Florida’s Palm Beach high society. In contrast, the book depicts Maxine being banished to Scottsdale, Ariz., after causing a disturbance at Thanksgiving when her husband announces he is leaving her for his secretary, instead of Palm Beach.
In the 2024 Emmy Awards, Lily Gladstone was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role in Hulu’s miniseries titled “Under The Bridge”. This HBO production unfolds during the twilight of the Vietnam War, focusing on a cunning Vietnamese spy who embarks on a journey to a U.S. refugee camp, only to have his allegiances questioned as he covertly serves the Viet Cong. The series proved to be a triumph, earning Robert Downey Jr., who masterfully portrayed five diverse characters, an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie at the 2024 Emmys.
Debuting on Hulu in 2017, this TV series is an adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel from 1985, set in the totalitarian state of Gilead after a Second American Civil War. It has garnered several Emmys awards, with Outstanding Drama Series being one in its first season.
This groundbreaking mini-series was initially based on the 1976 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel “Roots: The Saga of an American Family” by author Alex Haley. A year later, in 1977, the series debuted on ABC with LeVar Burton in the cast and quickly became a cultural sensation. It won nine Emmys and a Peabody Award, and its ratings were exceptionally high. To this day, its finale remains the second-most-watched series finale in U.S. television history. In 2016, a new adaptation titled “Roots” was released, featuring Malachi Kirby and Anika Noni Rose.
One captivating way to rephrase this: This immortal drama features fascinating characters like a mind-reading waitress and vampires with southern drawls. The series, starring the real-life couple Anna Pacquin and Stephen Moyer, is adapted from Charlaine Harris’s “The Southern Vampire Mysteries” books and revolves around a Louisiana town. Over seven seasons, it ended in 2014, but it continues to be treasured for offering glimpses of Alexander Skarsgård and Joe Manganiello in their most unclothed states.

In 2014, the novel “You Should Have Known” by Jean Hanff Korelitz served as inspiration for the HBO series “The Undoing”. This production brought Nicole Kidman back to a leading role in a gripping murder mystery. Grace Fraser, portrayed by Kidman, is a therapist whose life takes an unexpected turn when her husband Jonathan (Hugh Grant) becomes the prime suspect in the murder of Elena Alves (Matilda De Angelis).
Although the final episode sparked mixed emotions among viewers, there was universal agreement on the fact that Nicole Kidman’s costumes were top-notch in the show.
The crime drama centered around Dexter Morgan, portrayed by Michael C. Hall (daytime blood spatter expert and nighttime serial killer), initially drew inspiration from the novels of author Jeff Lindsay. Throughout its eight-season run on Showtime, this series gained a dedicated fanbase along with 23 Emmy nominations. However, the final episode’s conclusion was not an easy feat to pull off.

After an impressive seven-season run, we bid farewell to Litchfield Penitentiary in 2019.
Prior to Kyle Chandler gracing our TV screens and capturing viewers’ hearts, the sports drama was first presented as a film featuring Billy Bob Thornton in the same role. However, in 2006, H.G. Bissinger’s non-fiction book “Friday Night Lights: A Town, a Team, and a Dream” found its way onto television screens, turning non-football enthusiasts into believers. Alongside Chandler, the series also featured Connie Britton, Minka Kelly, Scott Porter, Michael B. Jordan, Taylor Kitsch as Tim Riggins, and many more. Let’s recite together now, “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts…

Among the strangers were Frances (Melissa McCarthy), Lars (Luke Evans), Tony (Bobby Cannavale), Carmel (Regina Hall), Napoleon (Michael Shannon), Jessica (Samara Weaving), Ben (Melvin Gregg), Heather (Asher Keddie), and Zoe (Grace Van Patten).

Whether they were content with these resolutions, that’s a different tale altogether.
The SyFy series, titled “The Magicians,” offers book enthusiasts by Lev Grossman a peek into the enchanting realm of Brakebills University’s magical students. These characters grapple with ordinary college struggles such as complex relationships and substance abuse, compounded by mastering their magical abilities – making life even more perplexing. Over five seasons, the missions escalated, often requiring the heroes to preserve the multiverse or magic itself. (No small feat, I suppose?) However, one constant remained: a guaranteed musical episode that never failed to impress.
The attractive ensemble, featuring Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Kat Graham, and Ian Somerhalder, played a significant role in making this supernatural TV show on The CW a massive success. Fans of L. J.
