The most recent partnership for Overwatch 2 has gone live, and this time it’s an unconventional one with NERF. Instead of offering new character costumes, the emphasis is on weapon skins that resemble NERF guns, complete with their distinctive appearances and sounds. Take a look at the trailer below to witness them in action.
There’s quite a variety of options, ranging from Tracer’s Gelfire Pros to Mei’s Super Soaker XP100, and even Soldier 76 gets a NERF gun. The exclusive Legendary skin is for Cassidy, transforming his Flashbang into a Vortex Football. Additionally, a new limited-time game mode, NERF or Nothing’, has been introduced, where players switch to random heroes after each kill.
In this game, the first contestant to survive from the initial 20 eliminations emerges victorious. However, an unusual rule applies – when a player dies three times, they get a chance to switch heroes. Crucially, no hero can be reused by any player. Additionally, all characters have significantly reduced cooldown periods, and some abilities even charge up their Ultimates as they change heroes. Completing the event’s challenges before August 18th will reward players with Battle Pass XP, a spray, a unique player icon, the Gelfire Pro skin, and a weapon charm.
