Speculations about an anime adaptation of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice have been circulating for about two years now, yet recent findings indicate that this potential project indeed exists and may be underway.
Based on observations by ResetEra user vestan, it seems that the massive Japanese corporation Kadokawa (the main proprietor of FromSoftware) has registered a web domain for what appears to be an upcoming show. The domain name sekiro-anime.jp suggests that this could be an official announcement coming up in the near future.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but imagine how captivating a Sekiro anime would be, given that the action sequences are flawlessly animated to match the game’s high-quality combat.
It’s worth mentioning that earlier speculations pointed to Qzil.la as the group responsible for this venture – a studio not widely recognized yet, but it seems they have limited projects under their belt, such as the closing animation for the acclaimed series Chainsaw Man.
What do you believe about the prospect of a Sekiro anime? Would you enjoy watching it if produced? Share your excitement for potential parry-based action sequences in the comment section below.
