Sony CEO Hiroki Totoki Visited Hideo Kojima as Attention Turns to Physint

Hiroki Totoki, the current CEO of Sony, has spent a lovely afternoon with Hideo Kojima in Tokyo.

During his brief tenure as CEO of PlayStation, the executive posed for a customary picture with the creator of Death Stranding in the studio’s famous corridor. Subsequently, he left his signature on the developer’s wall.

The specific topics discussed during the meeting between the two high-ranking officials are uncertain, however, it’s clear that Sony is making significant investments in Kojima Productions.

Beyond the two games of Death Stranding, crafted with the Decima Engine by Guerrilla, Sony PlayStation is additionally collaborating with Kojima on a game that serves as a spiritual sequel to Metal Gear Solid. This upcoming project will also incorporate contributions from Sony Pictures.

Previously estimated timelines suggested we might not see the unveiling of tactical espionage until anywhere from five to six years from now. Meanwhile, Kojima is developing a chilling game titled “OD“, initially slated for Xbox release but expected to also debut on PlayStation.
