In addition to the previously mentioned gaming platforms such as Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch (the original one), the game “Mina the Hollower” from Yacht Club Games will also be released for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 on October 31st. For those who own the current Nintendo Switch, a free demo is available in the eShop. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
Drawing inspiration from acclaimed Game Boy Color titles like “The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Ages“, the game “Mina the Hollower” follows its namesake protagonist as she journeys to a strange, cursed island. Her mission is to repair the enigmatic Spark Generators, and along the way, she combats monsters, bosses, and overcomes environmental challenges and brain-teasing puzzles.
Without a doubt, she’ll be fully equipped, choosing a selection of melee weapons and sidearms. Mina even has the ability to burrow underground, making her way through the world more efficiently. The Yacht Club promises a vast world to discover, yet it’s the charming 8-bit design and the retro-inspired MSX-style soundtrack (composed by Jake Kaufman, renowned for Shovel Knight) that will captivate fans of old-school gaming.
