Get ready for the grand return of “Black Clover” in a few days, as it’s gearing up for its epic Summer 2025 comeback! The creator, Yuki Tabata, is currently working on the final chapter of this series and has been doing so for approximately a year now. Instead of its previous weekly release with Shueisha’s “Weekly Shonen Jump” magazine, the manga is now published bi-quarterly in “Jump GIGA” magazine. The run through the final arc has been quite fruitful thus far.
In celebration of Black Clover’s 10th anniversary, preparations are underway for a grand comeback in the Summer 2025 issue of Jump GIGA magazine, set to hit stores across Japan this month. This return will feature an impressive three chapters, bringing fans closer than ever to the conclusion of the series as the climactic battle against Lucius Zogratis and his formidable Paladins reaches its peak. Buckle up for the thrilling end!
Black Clover Chapters 381-383 Release Date

I’m excitedly reporting that “Black Clover” is resuming its journey on Tuesday, August 12th in Japan (and a day earlier on Monday, August 11th in the United States). We’re diving into Chapters 381 through 383 of this captivating manga series, and each one picks up right where we left off back in Spring. This is a significant milestone for the manga as previous returns only included two chapters, so this triple-chapter release certainly hints at something momentous unfolding now that the grand battle against Lucius Zogratis has commenced in earnest. However, the direction it’s headed remains a mystery.
In the update announced last Spring, Asta and Yuno found themselves battling against Lucius himself, having defeated their respective Paladin adversaries in the ongoing war within the Clover Kingdom. The battle caught Lucius off guard, as he was astonished by the increased strength Asta and Yuno exhibited when they fought together. It appeared that they had managed to achieve a genuine victory over him. However, it was later disclosed that the Lucius they faced was merely a clone, while the real Lucius had been patiently waiting to unleash a powerful spell using the Clover Kingdom’s grimmoire library.
Asta suffered a heavy attack from Lucius after gaining power from a fresh spell. His knights, the Paladins, transformed into massive forms. With Asta hurt, Yuno moved him away from the fight and is currently facing off against Lucius to give Asta time to recover. This leaves Yuno’s future uncertain as we enter new chapters, causing even more turmoil that might lead to another year of installments before the series reaches its climax.
When Is Black Clover Going to End?

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Black Clover is gearing up for an epic summer run with three significant chapters ahead! The climax of the final battle is upon us, but our fearless Asta hasn’t quite reached his peak yet. With numerous characters and adversaries still in play, it seems the manga may stretch out longer than anticipated before the Clover Kingdom’s war reaches its conclusion.
And let’s not forget about the upcoming anime adaptation that’s hot on its heels! It’s an exciting time indeed for all Black Clover enthusiasts as we eagerly await what lies ahead in this captivating journey.
The original Black Clover anime concluded after more than 170 episodes due to its swift approach to the published manga chapters. At the time of its ending, it was merely three weeks behind the manga’s progression. Since the manga and anime caught up rather quickly, this may pose a challenge for the upcoming anime release as well. However, with the Spade Kingdom Raid arc and the concluding Ultimate Wizard King arc offering ample content, there is speculation about how these two schedules might influence each other.
Black Clover is set to resume for its second season, produced by animation studio Pierrot, although a specific release date or timeline remains unconfirmed at the moment of this writing. If the series maintains its weekly schedule similar to the first season, it’s expected to swiftly approach the final story arc. It appears that the anime may follow a seasonal release pattern in the future, which would allow the manga to avoid rushing its conclusion so as to prevent issues with pacing seen earlier. Consequently, while the series is nearing its end at a brisk pace, it seems that Black Clover will take its time to deliver a satisfying finale.
