An overlooked game originally released for PlayStation 2 and Xbox is set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch this coming Friday, August 14th. Essentially, it’s just three days away from appearing on the Nintendo eShop. At present, there’s no news about its release on the rumored Nintendo Switch 2, nor any indication that it will be available for the current Nintendo Switch anytime soon. If it does eventually come to the Nintendo Switch, it won’t be in time for this August 14th launch. However, for those who are eager to play it, they can do so on a future version of Nintendo Switch through backward compatibility – but only if they’re willing to pay $20 for the game.
The game under discussion is a reboot of Ghost Master, a strategic puzzle game initially released in 2003 by British studio Sick Puppies. Originally, it was only accessible on PC and Mac systems, but in 2004, it expanded to PlayStation 2 and Xbox platforms. These later versions are the ones most recognized, as they garnered more popularity than their initial PC and Mac counterparts. This is partly due to the fact that the PC version was not available on Steam at its launch, with a Steam release not happening until 2006.
