Sharon Stone Tearfully Details Bond With Eric Dane Amid ALS Battle

Sharon Stone has a basic sweet instinct to support her friends.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share an intriguing story from my professional journey. You might recognize the talented actress from the film Total Recall. In her own words, she shared her role in helping Eric Dane, now 52, secure his part in the acclaimed series, Euphoria, several years prior to his diagnosis with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This story is a testament to her connections and influence in the industry, and it underscores the importance of support and perseverance in the face of adversity.

Back in August, I shared with Entertainment Tonight, “Eric and I go way back, decades even!” You see, during his audition process for Euphoria, I had the honor of being his confidante. He’d swing by my place, sometimes bearing gluten-free cookies as a token of friendship, and we’d chat about it all because that role meant everything to him.

In 2019, Eric brought his character Cal Jacobs, who is the father of Jacob Elordi‘s Nate Jacobs, to the small screen. This role was a success, and Eric is scheduled to reappear in HBO’s series for season three. Sharon expressed her joy about him getting the job at the right time, while fighting back tears, saying it means the world to her.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be right there, front and center, for the development of my character in season three of Euphoria. In February, I proudly announced my involvement in this captivating series, although I’ve chosen to keep the specifics about my character’s connections with the rest of the cast under wraps for now. Stay tuned for more updates!

She playfully hinted that there won’t be any talks regarding the ongoing events on the set, but added with excitement that she is thrilled beyond words to be involved in it.

I, a dedicated follower, am thrilled to share that Eric has openly expressed his eagerness to rejoin the cast of Euphoria and embark on fresh ventures like Amazon Prime Video’s Countdown. Despite his ongoing battle with ALS, he has no intentions of halting his acting career but rather is determined to continue navigating his condition within it.

In an interview with TopMob News in June, Eric said he intends to keep going with this venture until it can no longer move, and he’s feeling fantastic about his work. Although there have been some challenges along the way, he remains optimistic and believes that as long as he maintains a positive attitude, everything will turn out well in the end.

During a wrestling match against fellow WWE star Piper Niven in July 2025, a former contestant on Total Bellas disclosed that one of her breast implants moved following an impact from Piper’s elbow strike.

She reassured Bella Garcia, saying, ‘It’s alright,’ she said. ‘We’ll take care of it eventually. I informed the doctor that as soon as I’ve settled things, I’d return to improve their appearance. After all, these girls will have a bright future and we can’t let their looks reflect otherwise.’

In 2014, the actress who played a prominent role in “12 Years a Slave” received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids, which are benign growths that can form within or near the uterus. Remarkably, this was also the year she triumphed at the Oscars for her exceptional acting performance in that movie.

It wasn’t until the year 2025 that she revealed her diagnosis, sharing on Instagram that she had been silently enduring the condition for over ten years.

In simpler terms, she expressed that as women go through puberty, they are often led to believe that menstruation brings inevitable pain, which they endure on their own due to its significant impact on their lives.

In July 2025, the lead singer of Daisy Jones & The Six announced that she was admitted to the hospital due to a hernia, which is a tear in the muscular wall often occurring in the stomach or thigh region, aggravated by wearing restrictive trousers.

She posted on X, the platform once known as Twitter, “‘You don’t post on Twitter anymore,'” she said. “Six months ago, my pants were so tight they gave me a hernia, and I’ve been hesitant to tell you about it.

In April 2025, a former cast member of “Beverly Hills, 90210” shared that he was on the mend following an operation due to his appendix being close to rupturing.

In a recent Instagram post, I shared that last week, I began experiencing discomfort in my abdomen. This concern led me to seek immediate medical attention at the emergency room. Upon examination, it was revealed that I had an inflamed appendix, not yet ruptured, but very close to it.

He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

Adam Devine reveals that the injuries he endured at age 11, following a collision with a cement truck, continue to impact him up until now.

In a 2025 episode of the “In Depth With Graham Bensinger” podcast, Devine expressed that it had been an extremely difficult time for him. He explained that he’s been experiencing spasms throughout his body and was informed by doctors earlier this year that his condition was severe enough to indicate impending death.

He observed that the pain comes intermittently, and he explained this by saying, “There are quite a few issues with my body that aren’t quite right.

Previously part of Bachelor Nation, he disclosed his experience of needing to head to the hospital by crawling on all fours, as he was overcome with severe back pain that worsened during a camping trip with a companion in an RV.

In the March 2025 episode of his “Trading Secrets” podcast, he stated that his toes to knees are currently still experiencing an unusual tingling sensation. To provide some context, he mentioned that just a few weeks or even a month ago, he might have been squatting around 295 pounds. Remarkably, at this point, he can’t perform a single-legged squat without falling over, as if he had suffered a stroke or something similar. He added that he didn’t mean to sound arrogant when saying this.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

In March 2025, Gina Kirschenheiter from The Real Housewives of Orange County revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had experienced a heart attack, but fortunately, he made it through the challenging situation.

In March 2025, I, a devoted fan and performer much like the beloved character I played on “30 Rock”, encountered an unexpected health issue while attending a New York Knicks basketball game at Madison Square Garden. Consequently, I was gently escorted from the venue in a wheelchair.

On the next day, the comedian took to social media to explain that it was actually a bout with food poisoning he was dealing with, but was recovering well.

In February 2025, an actress who previously starred in “Even Stevens” revealed that she had been accidentally shot in the face during a trip for a clay pigeon-shooting celebration in honor of her husband, Brendan Rooney’s birthday.

In her Instagram post, she stated that another person with us discharged a weapon unsafely and unintentionally struck me in the face. @thebrendanrooney promptly intervened, examined me, and hastily transported me to the hospital. I was injured in five spots, one being only a short distance away from directly hitting my right eye.

The actor from Kim Possible added, “Regrettably, a piece became stuck near my eye, and it’s not safe for surgery to be performed yet. My doctors are keeping a close eye on me, and I can currently see just fine.

She expressed her gratitude for still being alive, stating, “My affection for my daughters, husband, family, and friends runs deep.” Recalling a moment when she felt her life was about to pass before her eyes, she urged everyone, “Seize every opportunity to embrace the people around you. Life is fragile and can change unexpectedly in a heartbeat.

In Amy Schumer’s own words, she expressed gratitude for the internet’s role during a particularly intense round of press when she found herself under scrutiny. On an episode of Call Her Daddy in January 2025, she recalled her initial reaction to the comments: “The internet really went after me, and I was like, ‘Alright everyone, take it easy,'” Amy said. To her surprise, doctors began chiming in on the comments, expressing concern over her swollen appearance, which they believed could indicate Cushing syndrome.

Puzzled by this turn of events, Amy admitted to being “trolled by doctors,” as she put it. After some doctors suggested that a possible cause for her symptoms could be elevated cortisol levels or steroid injections, it clicked for her. She had been receiving steroid injections for her scars from past surgeries such as breast reduction and C-section.

Amy connected the dots when she realized that the steroid injections might have caused her to develop Cushing syndrome, a condition she would not have known about if not for the relentless online scrutiny. Now, with the diagnosis confirmed and assurance from doctors that her condition will resolve itself, Amy is simply relieved that she’s healthy and has expressed gratitude for this information in her February 2024 News Not Noise newsletter.

Back in December of ’24, during a heart-pounding game, I found myself on the receiving end of an unlucky incident – my fellow player’s skate sliced me open! Twenty-five stitches later, I was back to healing. My dad, the esteemed general manager of the New Jersey Devils, Tom Fitzgerald, shared his relief with ESPN once I was fully mended: “We’ve been incredibly fortunate. I wouldn’t wish an experience like that on any parent.

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber, the well-known skincare entrepreneur, experienced a terrifying incident during breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She began exhibiting symptoms similar to a stroke, causing her speech to become garbled and her face to droop on one side.

Hailey recounted the event a month later in a YouTube video, stating that Justin had asked if she was alright, but she couldn’t respond. As time passed, her speech returned, and the facial drooping stopped, yet she still felt concerned and decided to visit the hospital for a check-up.

Upon examination, doctors discovered Hailey had suffered a small blood clot in her brain, known as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). Further investigation at the University of California, Los Angeles revealed that she had a hole in her heart called patent foramen ovale (PFO).

Hailey explained that the blood clot had migrated from her heart, escaped through the PFO hole, and reached her brain, causing the TIA. Fortunately, Hailey underwent a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now feeling much better.

In the same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also encountered his own health predicament. Specifically, in June 2022, the “Baby” singer disclosed that he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, an affliction that led to temporary paralysis in parts of his face and compelled him to terminate the rest of his Justice World Tour.

Justin elaborated on Instagram, stating that the virus responsible for attacking the nerve in his ear and facial nerves caused facial paralysis. At that time, he noted visible symptoms such as an unblinking eye, a lack of movement on one side of his face, and difficulties smiling or blinking. He also mentioned that eating became progressively challenging due to the condition. However, after some time, the paralysis subsided.

Hailey shared her thoughts about Justin’s health situation during a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America, expressing relief that he was “doing really well” and had made significant improvements. She added that despite the scary and seemingly random occurrence, Justin would be completely okay, and she felt fortunate that he was recovering.

As a dedicated follower, I’d like to share my insights on the health journey of Jamie Foxx, who initially kept his April 2023 hospitalization under wraps but later disclosed his ordeal. In Atlanta, during a particularly distressing time, he recounted, “I was suffering from such a severe headache that I asked my friend for an aspirin. Unfortunately, before I could even get the medicine, I passed out and can’t recall the next 20 days.”

In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he revealed more details. Initially examined by a doctor who administered a cortisone injection and sent him home, his sister, Deidra Dixon, sensing something was wrong, drove him to another hospital. There, they discovered the cause: a brain bleed that resulted in a stroke.

Twenty days following the operation, Jamie regained consciousness on May 4, finding himself in a wheelchair and unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. In his own words, “All I can express is my gratitude for every prayer, because I truly felt their impact.

Actress Emilia Clarke faced a life-threatening health crisis while filming “Game of Thrones.” In an essay titled “A Battle for My Life,” she described her experience. One day at the gym, she was struck with a severe headache, vomiting profusely, and the pain in her head intensifying. She suspected that her brain was injured.

Rushed to the hospital for a scan, she was diagnosed with a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening type of stroke caused by bleeding around the brain. She had an aneurysm, an arterial rupture. The surgery to seal the aneurysm was excruciatingly painful for her. During recovery, she also struggled with aphasia, speaking incoherently.

A week later, the aphasia passed, and she left the hospital after a month. However, a year earlier, a growth on her brain had been detected, which doubled in size by 2013. She required another surgery, this time through the skull due to the failure of the first procedure. Fortunately, Emilia is now in good health.

Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, expresses her gratitude towards her family following a severe stroke she experienced in January 2024. Upon learning about the incident, her loved ones swiftly gathered around her. In an interview with Will Marfuggi from TopMob News in December 2024, Cori shared that she informed them via text and sent a photo of herself. Everyone rushed to help her, as she put it.

Due to other health complications such as lupus and kidney failure, Cori’s hospital stay was longer than anticipated. The star of “Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story” explained that although she could have left the hospital after her stroke, her lupus wasn’t doing well, and her kidneys were failing, which meant she had to remain in the hospital for further treatment.

Today, Cori is recovering well. She reassured everyone that she is in good health now, despite experiencing some issues with motor skills initially. With time, she managed to regain control over them, and apart from that, she was fine.

Shailene Woodley’s 20s were a challenging period for her healthwise. She experienced issues such as losing hearing, severe fatigue, stomach pain, and fear of food due to body discomfort and confusion about identity. This led to conditions like body dysmorphia. However, she persevered by seeking help from both conventional doctors and holistic healers. It took a decade for her physical health to improve significantly, but now, Shailene can happily say that she is healthy and feels great.
