Following a prolonged absence without communication, Saber Interactive has unveiled an exclusive sneak peek – a behind-the-scenes video – for their upcoming game titled Jurassic Park: Survival. This first-person survival horror adventure will soon be available. The story unfolds on Isla Nubar after the cinematic events of the initial film, with Dr. Maya Joshi, a fresh character, navigating through her harrowing journey trying to evade and outsmart the numerous deadly dinosaurs inhabiting the island.
To ensure they play a pivotal role in the overall feel of the story, considerable attention has been devoted to making the dinosaurs as authentic and familiar as possible. As Leah Slater, senior director of Universal products and experiences, explains, “The dinosaurs are the main attraction for this series. The texture, movement, and sensation of their weight on the ground will all evoke the dinosaurs from the original film that fans adore.
In this scene, Maya is seen retreating backward through a tree trunk that a Tyrannosaurus Rex is relentlessly tearing apart, chunk by chunk. It’s been established that such a predator can consume humans, likely causing a swift end to the unfortunate victim. Maya, who was brought on board by Dr. Henry Wu, the chief geneticist of Jurassic Park (and its sequel, Jurassic World), is expected to be linked with him in various ways. According to actor Payal Mistry, Maya is described as fiery and unafraid to venture beyond her personal boundaries.
The game titled “Jurassic Park: Survival” is currently being developed for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. Keep an eye out for further updates and sneak peeks over the next few months.
