The studio known for creating games such as ‘SnowRunner’ and ‘RoadCraft’, namely Saber Interactive, has revealed a new game with a similar theme titled ‘Docked‘. This game centers around the bustling world of docks, immersing players in the role of a primary operator – a longshoreman. The unveiling of this game was accompanied by a trailer, which you can view below.
The trailer hints at unique aspects of Docked, distinguishing it from the studio’s past projects centered around simulationist gameplay involving heavy machinery. Instead of just driving trucks and operating cranes to move cargo, players will also encounter tasks like repairing damaged equipment and dealing with emergencies such as a cargo ship accidentally spilling its containers near the dock.
Instead of moving players across various settings, the game “Docked” primarily unfolds within a single location, Port Wake. As it concentrates on a single spot, the gameplay will put more emphasis on the player’s ability to skillfully manage and maneuver their vehicle to avoid congestion or other disruptions in the area.
In addition to strategic elements, the game includes financial management aspects as well. This means players will need to negotiate contracts and establish logistics networks to make a profit from Port Wake. Additionally, they can invest in upgrading the port with modern equipment and vehicles, which may lead to larger and more profitable contract opportunities.
As of now, the release date for this game remains undetermined, setting it apart from other comparable titles that offer multiplayer experiences. Interestingly, this particular game will focus solely on single-player modes. Excitingly, it is scheduled to be accessible on PC through Steam, as well as on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
Recently, Saber Interactive launched a game named RoadCraft, available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S back in May. Essentially, the main gameplay of RoadCraft involves constructing roads. In
With Saber Interactive’s skillful touch, RoadCraft takes realism to a new level by updating its physics engine, providing unique, realistic interactions with the environment that have never been seen before, according to the studio when it was first released. The only constraint is your and your teammates’ creativity!
Initially, RoadCraft hit the market boasting over forty different vehicles in its lineup, including SUVs, cargo trucks, cranes, road rollers, and bulldozers. Each vehicle has a distinct role, from reconnaissance missions to provide a survey of the terrain, to intricate tasks such as paving roads within construction projects. These vehicles are versatile and can be utilized on any of the eight maps included in the standard edition.
In contrast to Docked being a solo experience, RoadCraft offers the opportunity for collaboration with up to three friends in multiplayer mode. In this cooperative setting, players have the option to join forces on one extensive task or divide and conquer multiple smaller ones for a more versatile approach.
