In the upcoming episode of Coronation Street on the 15th of August, 2025, there seems to be an unexpected turn of events just before Carla Connor (Alison King) was planning to propose to Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).
Sharing her intentions with nephew Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), Carla expressed that she was planning to purchase an engagement ring for her partner, Lisa, as both of them were deeply devoted to one another.
In the new installment, the long-awaited ring makes its appearance. Without delay, she promptly makes her way to The Rovers, temporarily managed by Glenda Shuttleworth (played by Jodie Prenger), seeking a favor.
After Carla asks Glenda to put the ring into Lisa’s champagne flute at a later time, she phones Lisa and strongly suggests they meet up at the local bar for a round of drinks instead.
It’s uncertain if Lisa will figure out Carla’s plans, but it’s clear that her romantic move might not turn out to be as straightforward as Carla anticipates.

Next week, the story switches back to the mystery surrounding the death of Lisa’s wife Becky.
It comes to light that Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) discovered a link between the latest police inquiry and an old case involving Becky, however, DI Costello has chosen to halt this connection from being pursued further.
