It appeared that Crimson Desert was set to unveil fresh gameplay at Gamescom, following its postponement; however, Pearl Abyss is choosing to act proactively instead. Now, more than 13 minutes of new video material can be viewed, featuring Kliff as he enlists with the Calphadean army in an attempt to reclaim their fortress. You can watch it here, kindly provided by IGN.
In this scenario, we witness several fresh combat techniques and equipment, such as the spear, being utilized. One powerful attack releases an elemental burst, while another has Kliff charging through foes, swiftly slashing and dismembering them.
After saving a soldier and reaching the castle to meet his ally Oongka (who uses a greataxe), Kliff engages in a fierce fight with Cassius Morten, a traitor to the kingdom. The battle is intense, featuring unconventional tactics like using a pillar to inflict heavy damage on Cassius. Ultimately, Kliff emerges victorious and soars up to light the beacon triumphantly.
It’s unclear if this is the full demo that players will get to experience at Gamescom. The game titled Crimson Desert is scheduled to release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC in Q1 2026. For additional gameplay details, visit this link.
