Although you may not recognize Black Bear as a film distributor, they’ve been responsible for some outstanding films recently such as Dumb Money, Ferrari, Origin. Immaculate, the remarkable Longlegs, and even Conclave which earned an Oscar. Now, we’re excited to share with you their latest release, showcased by the Relay trailer.
In the film titled “Relay“, Riz Ahmed portrays a highly skilled “intermediary” who excels in arranging large bribes between crooked corporations and those who could bring about their downfall. He maintains his anonymity through careful planning and adheres strictly to a specific set of guidelines. However, when a request for protection arrives unexpectedly from a new client (Lily James), whose very life is at stake, the rigid rules begin to shift.
The movie is directed by David Mackenzie, who earned an Oscar nomination for ‘Hell or High Water.’ It also stars Sam Worthington and Willa Fitzgerald. (written by Justin Piasecki)
