Toby Keith’s son Stelen Keith Covel is officially a father.
In a heartwarming social media post, the youngest of the late country singer and his spouse, Haley Covel, announced the arrival of their newborn daughter.
Millie has arrived, Haley wrote alongside a picture on August 16th. The image showed their newborn wrapped in a white onesie adorned with pink bows. “We absolutely adore you, our little one,” they expressed.
Not only was the photo adorable, but Millie Brooks Covel’s crib was enhanced with lovely light pink bows and a personalized banner that read “Millie Brooks Covel” too.
The pair, who got married in November 2021, announced that they were expanding their family five months earlier, sharing a picture of them grinning together while displaying several ultrasound photos holding them.
In the caption of the Feb. 13 Instagram post, Haley wrote, “Baby Covel coming this summer.”
Approximately a year since Stelen’s dad passed away at the age of 62, battling stubborn stomach cancer, the exciting announcement from the couple arrived.
In a heartfelt Instagram post last February, the individual, aged 28, expressed: ‘I’ve never met a stronger man than you, Keith.’ He went on to describe him as a relentless fighter, an unparalleled figure in his field, a beacon for guidance, a coach, and a hero.
Certainly, though Stelen primarily recognized Toby Keith as the man who cared for him, nurtured him, and guided him through life, many others were well-acquainted with him as the accomplished musician behind “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue.
He spoke about his father as a living embodiment of American spirit. He admired him greatly for his strength, skill, and above all, his role as a loving father and husband. Though his influence is indelible on the world and countless individuals, no one knew him quite like he did. His unwavering support and guidance were his beacon in his toughest moments. He was not only an exceptional mentor but also his greatest cheerleader.
“It’s not goodbye forever,” he concluded. “It’s just goodbye for now. I love you cowboy.”
Alongside the picture of her father-in-law escorting her down the aisle at her wedding with Stelen, Haley wrote a heartfelt tribute in memory of him as well.
She expressed on Instagram, “I’ll always struggle to find the right words, following his passing. Toby was an extraordinary person, both at home and on stage. It’s been a tremendous privilege to be his daughter-in-law. He welcomed me warmly into his family, and I will forever be thankful for that kindness. He left an indelible mark on countless lives, and I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have been among them.
