Matt Howard and Abby Howard are growing their family.
The TikTok users, parents of three-year-old Griffin and two-year-old August, posted that they are welcoming a new addition to their family by having another baby.
The couple shared with People magazine that they are more thrilled than ever about having their third child, as they now fully appreciate what a wonderful experience it is. Despite not having a preference regarding the baby’s gender, their oldest child is keenly hoping for a little sister!
Speaking of Abby, she’s always transparent about her journey as a mother on social media. She pointed out that this particular pregnancy experience has varied significantly from her past ones.
Many times, I find myself needing to recall that I’m expecting,” she joked, “and that it’s truly happening!” or simply, “I often forget I’m pregnant, and then remember it’s real.
The latest headline about the influencers emerges a year after they faced criticism for reportedly abandoning their children in a cruise ship cabin, while they dined out, in 2019.
In a TikTok post, Matt stated, “Typically, we wouldn’t produce a video like this. However, there are rumors about us that are entirely false.
He emphasized that he and Abby consider their parental responsibilities very profoundly, and their affection for their children surpasses everything else on the planet. They are also quite vigilant when it comes to safeguarding their offspring.
What led to all the rumors and speculation was an instance during a seven-night family cruise with Abby, when she shared on Instagram that her partner had taken her out for dinner while they checked on their children using FaceTime from their cabin.
Matt clarified, “There was a misunderstanding that we’d left our kids in their rooms without supervision on the boat. But let me be clear, there was always someone with our children throughout this journey.
Abby mentioned that, understanding why her story caused confusion, she removed the post a few hours following its publication.
She emphasized that it’s important for you to understand that we will always be present with our children, and we have no intention of leaving them unsupervised at any point. In fact, we strive to ensure their safety above all else and would never knowingly put them in harm’s way.
Lately, the couple chose to hide their children’s faces on social media platforms, as Abby phrased it, for a greater sense of security concerning their privacy and wellbeing.
At first, we kept our oldest child’s image online because we thought, “We’ll just carry on with everything as it has been.” Since we’ve been documenting our lives through vlogs and now have a child, we decided to continue doing so.
After noticing some digital traces, he noted, ‘It seems we’re dealing with digital footprints,’ pointing out that there are still many aspects about it that remain to be understood.
