Starting on August 21st, the price of PlayStation 5 consoles in the USA will go up, as Sony Interactive Entertainment has made this decision due to the tough economic climate they are currently facing.
The new recommended retail pricings are as follows:
- PlayStation 5 – $549.99 (previously $499.99)
- PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – $499.99 (previously $449.99)
- PlayStation 5 Pro – $749.99 (previously $699.99)
The recommended retail prices for PlayStation 5 accessories remain unchanged.
Prices have been rising in the U.S., much like they have in Japan, as well as in regions such as Europe, Asia (including the Middle East), Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
