The sequel to Boruto, titled Two Blue Vortex, has been consistently engaging fans since its debut by introducing unexpected turns that propel the main characters in thrilling directions. Boruto is increasingly showing signs of becoming Sasuke’s successor, astonishing viewers as he masterfully wields his grandfather’s distinctive technique and simultaneously develops his own unique abilities. He continues to establish himself as a powerful lead character.
One particularly impactful twist that has captivated fans was the resurrection of Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Beast, this time residing within Naruto’s daughter, Himawari. By harnessing Kurama’s power, Himawari instantly displayed her shinobi prowess, averting further harm during Konoha’s recent attack and miraculously healing the critically wounded Inojin Yamanaka, pulling him back from the edge of death.
In Chapter 25 of “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex,” titled “Those Girls,” we see Kurama training Himawari as their relationship deepens, a dynamic reminiscent of Naruto and Kurama’s bond during the climax of “Naruto Shippuden.” Interestingly, Himawari’s link with Kurama presents an unexpected twist, setting her on a path to become a unique Jinchuriki unlike any we’ve encountered before, as she develops into a distinct warrior.
Kurama and Himawari Begin Training With a New Twist

In Naruto Shippuden, it was shown that Jinchūriki who formed a strong connection with their tailed beasts could unleash their full power as exceptional shinobi. Given Kurama’s return, fans anticipated a similar scenario for Himawari, possibly witnessing her enveloped by Kurama’s chakra much like Naruto once was. However, in the latest chapter, it is clarified that Himawari is not a Jinchuriki but rather resembles a beast-like entity with chakra, similar to Kurama or Jura, the Divine Tree leader and chakra humanoid. As she learns, Kurama guides her away from traditional ninja methods and towards a fighting style that aligns with her being a manifestation of chakra in human form. This significant revelation implies that Himawari’s development will differ significantly from Naruto or Killer Bee, the Eight-Tails’ Jinchuriki.
It’s challenging to accurately foresee how Himawari will transform as a warrior due to her unique circumstances. Given that she is revealed to be chakra herself and has Kurama within her, it seems she might embody Kurama’s essence in human form, potentially leading to a transformation similar to a tailed beast. This change may lead to combat styles unlike Naruto’s Sage Modes.
Moreover, the recent plot twist in Boruto promises an increased focus on Kurama, offering fans more of him than anticipated following his sacrifice against Isshiki Otsutsuki. With Kurama now instructing Himawari, it rekindles memories for those who missed the dynamic between Kurama and Naruto.
