Although it might seem unusual, given our affiliation with the PlayStation community, we believe we have a valid point in criticizing Microsoft’s methodology regarding the release of physical games.
As a passionate gamer, I’ve recently discovered an interesting twist in my new PS5 games – Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as well as DOOM: The Dark Ages. Instead of filling up my hard drive with vast amounts of data like usual, these titles come with only a tiny fraction of it on their discs! They’re so unique that they’ve earned themselves a new nickname reminiscent of Nintendo’s days – Game Key Discs. It’s an exciting departure from the norm!
It sparked worries that Gears of War Reloaded might follow the same pattern, particularly when fans spotted a warning on the European packaging suggesting a download was necessary to play the game. Interestingly, this notice doesn’t seem to be present on the North American edition.
Based on information from a reliable source, the European edition of the game comes with the complete single-player campaign already installed on the disc. However, other content appears to require downloading, which includes the online multiplayer feature. Despite this, having the main campaign preloaded makes it less inconvenient.
Indeed, this could be exciting tidings for enthusiasts of tangible games, especially those eagerly anticipating the PS5’s launch of Gears of War. Rest assured, we’ll keep you posted with fresh updates once we get more information.
