Let down your hair, Rapunzel!”, this famous line is from the classic fairytale that was reimagined in 2010 as the much-loved Disney movie, ‘Tangled’. This year, it’s marking its 15th anniversary and brings back fond memories for many of us who watched it when it first hit theaters. For those who remember, ‘Tangled’ set a new tone for princess movies, one that we continue to associate with them today. In celebration, Funko is releasing a series of ‘Tangled’ Funko Pops.
The standout piece in this collection is the Rapunzel Tower Funko Pop, a novel design that showcases the character in her signature movie setting, ideal for showcasing on a bookshelf. This version of Rapunzel, with her short brown hair from the film’s end, makes its debut as a collector’s item for fans. For a comprehensive list of new Pops, check out Entertainment Earth for pre-orders. They should also become available on Amazon within the next 24 hours.

Live-Action Tangled?
Regrettably, Disney’s live-action adaptations haven’t been as successful as anticipated, and this has impacted their plans for a remake of Tangled. Unlike the blockbuster performance of Lilo & Stitch, Snow White encountered difficulties even before its promotional campaign began, generating controversy. The unfavorable response to Snow White has led executives to reconsider their remake strategy, and as a result, the production of Tangled’s remake was put on hold in April following Snow White’s disappointing performance.
The director Michael Gracey, known for “The Greatest Showman,” was initially planned to direct a movie, with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson writing the script. Although it wasn’t directly mentioned, it appears that the production of “Tangled” might have been temporarily halted due to “Snow White.” “Snow White” earned just $87.2 million domestically against a budget of $270 million, resulting in significant financial losses for the company. However, given the success of “Lilo & Stitch” that followed, it seems doubtful that Disney will completely abandon their live-action remake project for “Tangled.
